7:58 really shows how many little quality of life things make this show so good. You can see Dylan’s hand go under the mat because they edit over the cards that are gone due to game actions but haven’t been moved yet. That plus the “yeah here are the areas where mistakes happened” are the reasons this is consistently my favorite cEDH show

I feel like this game deserved a do-over what with the missed life total changes and especially Dylan being able to pay for Pact because he had a bird token for his Cradle which likely would have left Narset in play changing Cameron's entire line.

I love River Song, I think the incidental life loss from tutoring is surprisingly relevant. Good game, mess ups aside, I wish the Face of Boe did a little more, he seems super cool

Whenever I went to my local commander night I loved using River Song in higher power games. The deck itself wasn't that strong but her incentive to not search when shes out was surprisingly effective. Even ended up killing two players in a single game because it was late game and life totals were low.

I think the second time Justin lost the correct amount of life. He played 2 for a shock land, 2 to tomb, and 2 for the Phyrexian mana for the metamorph

At 4:34 I’m pretty sure the 4 life is correct since he lost 2 life off of ancient tomb and 2 life of of phyrexian mana.

yes, 4 life is correct... but justin went from 31, to 29 for ancient tomb, then again payed 4 life to 25. (so payed twice for ancient tomb)

I'm really impressed with the damage that The River Song threw around Great game, it would've been interesting to see what had happened if the life totals were accurate, but I love games with misplays so I'm not complaining!

Yeah, easy mistake to make considering the fetch lands still look like normal lands unless you pay close attention. Easy to forgive too because jeweled lotus could crack for green and orchard could do blue.

Interesting Cam pointing out to add more often Copy Artifact to his decks. Especially with the fact people add more synergies to find The One Ring Into their decks like f.e. Tezzereth the Seeker, Copy Artifact is getting again more viable outside of artifact heavy strategies.

Someone wanna clarify a rules question for me? At the very start, Dylan taps exo orch for a green, but command tower says “a color in YOUR commanders identity”. In my understanding, that command tower can only tap for blue/red right? Or am I trippin? It doesn’t change the game, cuz he could crack lotus for green and tap for blue instead, but it’s not a ruling I’ve ever clarified

Exotic Orchard taps for any color of mana an opponent's land could tap for. The Command Tower can tap for green (because its controller can tap it for green). Therefore, Exotic Orchard can tap for green.

Pretty decent game, would love to see another one. Also, super weird that Justin never uses a playmat. Most of the locals around me use one, and some are super pretentious by attaching pins from tourney wins, including from games like Pokemon.

The third doctor. You get green/blue from the doctor himself and another color from a companion. Once you use food chain to go infinite you can have create as many clues, treasures, and food as you want which let's you draw your deck.

Having just put together a River Song spellslinger deck, I was very glad to see her pull the win. It should be noted that she triggers for each opponent searching, so she should have pinged once for 3 damage and once for 4 damage for those lands searches.

the LotR movies and the LotR books are under different sets of copyrights, and WotC only had access to the book rights when the set was printed, so they couldn't use the characters (including the likenessess of the actors) from the movie.
