Today we're going to see who can sling the most spells and come on top of the counter wars. It's the best spells deck in cEDH.

Time for a house rule - you forget your Mana Crypt roll, you take 3 from your Crypt every turn for the rest of the game. I suggest you do that for a month and see if the number of "oh, I forget to roll for Crypt" goes down. :) Keep up the great content!

I only cast consultation to win the game or because I'm about to loss the game. Tainted Pact gas a lot more flexibility and have used that to Tutor up cards before, normally either oracle or consultation. Great video!

PersonOfBlah That‘s right but if you play niv as your commander you should resolve all triggers, because your opponents won‘t remember you. Because nivs pings can kill a yidris and that could be super relevant for the game. You‘re totally right, the content is awesome like always.

Loved the video today. I've been really enjoying your content so far and have watched all of the videos you guys have up. I do have one thing I wanted to mention: as someone who really struggles with names, when you guys are making plays and doing table talk that references other players sometimes it's difficult for me to track what happened. It's rare that it actually confuses me, but it occasionally does. I keep track of players by the sound of their voice if anyone was curious. The problem is increased for me since we only ever see the faces of our hosts, Cam and Dylan (dear god I hope that was right or that would be embarrassing) Over time this will become less of an issue as I slowly start to memorize player names but other people new to the channel might have issues with this. I don't have any real solution to this other than occasional use of an overlay that displays player names. Either way, keep up the sweet content and don't catch the plague

Tylor was playing Niv Mizzet, right? At ~ 10:40 he missed many triggers as he could have drawn 3 more cards and deal damage with Chain of Vapor and all the other cards on that stack. Always watch out to maximize the value with counter and interactive magic. (:

The math is easy if you make a few assumptions. Assuming you have 2 win conditions, a large deck, and your deck is random, you have a 25% chance of exiling both win conditions with tainted pact, 25% chance of exiling neither and 50% chance of exiling only one win condition. This doesn't account for the first 6 exiled if it's demonic pact instead, but if you have a large deck left it doesn't change the numbers much.

Can anyone confirm that when the Frantic Search is cast, there is a mis-trigger on Niv-Mizzet's ping ability? o.0 Also, there are a lot of Niv-Mizzet's ability being mis-triggered when there are a lot of instants and sorceress cast in the latter game in Game 2. Not sure because of being edited away or just pure mis-trigger.

You should run Winds of Change as a backup in the Niv deck. It's just one mana so it's easy to cast after you've drawn your whole deck.

Does the 2 on the dice on Kess the first time it went back to the command zone in Game 1 mean it was a mistake or do you typically start at 2? It was under the effects of the Delay before it went to the command zone before this.

At the beginning of each of your main phases, if you haven't added mana with this ability this turn, you may add X mana of any one color, where X is the number of Islands target opponent controls. Oracle text for carpet of flowers i notice you guys do it both main phases when you can only add mana once with carpet now

I think Force of Will wouldn't have countered the Talisman. It doesn't move it up the stack, it just changes the target of the spell, so the talisman would have resolved first and the force would have fizzled.

It's for that exact reason I absolutely dont want to build my yidris as a demonic consultation Oracle deck. Sure Oracle cuz you can draw up your deck numerous ways. But it super sucks and shuts yidris off. I wanna be able to cascade and win not dodging my own cascades like the plague cuz I am missing 1 piece or another in hand. Makes yidris himself feel bad, when he's seemingly op strong.

Correct, but the trigger on Niv Mizzet when someone casts and instant or sorcery is not. He had to draw for each one of those. I had to look at Niv again for the same reason lol.

if the video is about the best spell slinger cedh decks why do only two of them actually are cedh decks?? I can get consultation kess and yidris but the other two are just inferior decks in every regard, there more competitive commanders in this category that do fall in the same level of power as kess and yidris, it looks like "hey we had two competitive decks play against this other two jank decks with expensive cards, we call it cedh"
