@@texastank SquareEnix are doing some changes and have said they will be focusing on existing IPs instead of creating new stuff. This game and Terraria are the only two games filling the niche for Minecraft, it has good rating and they will eventually do something with it. My hope is that it comes with the new Nintendo system.

ikr, thogh i did notice on builds that the monsters and toughies were faster I did not expect them to outdo the golems, granted I only had one golem, and the rest were the Valhalla monsters or slimes.

It has pros and cons. Golems work around the clock but are slower, Villagers work faster but take breaks.

For destroying stuff, riding golems and having them attack blocks is the best option, I think the non gold golems mine less amount of blocks than gold golems who mine 11x11x11. For building blueprints, I think it is best to simply use the story characters since they are experienced in building the story blueprints.

Oh wow an actual use for miners. I even tried to set up a fallout vault style town in a sunny sands based island, they still wouldn't mine the parts I left untouched.

Wow! I didn't even know they built at different rates. I would guess Minors might be good at destroying stuff, but who knew they could be useful for such great labor as well! (I had to find out some way to cram that bad joke in there) Very cool attention to detail though on the developer part.

My villagers have a habit of stopping a build when it is in the high 90% range, even when there are blocks for them in a nearby chest. I always end up having to complete the blueprint myself.

I have experimented with some workarounds which work most of the time to fix this. The most successful one is to remove the blueprint and set it back down exactly where it was (especially for huge builds I would find a way to mark the ground first) and for some reason it resets the villagers and they start again. Another trick is to remove the items from the chest, wait for them to complain, and then put the item back in. The last is to have multiple chests and to switch the chest. Just a disclaimer though that neither of these strategies is 100% but it has worked a vast majority of the time.

Didnt knew theres a difference, i only figured out that the golems can carry more blocks at one time.. But now when i wanna blueprint something i should get more miners :D

I'm using lots of sheslimes for fast building, they don't need breaks to eat like golems and sleep at night. Not sure if they really faster than the miners tho.

Miners did take a pretty long break though for both categories. They broke stuff down pretty fast but then slacked off which allowed the other two human groups to almost catch up. Iridescent Island huh? Nice.

way to go miners/toughies, how do other monsters or villagers compare? i.e knights vs miners or slimes vs Golems for example?

I know that slimes and hammerhoods have the same build speed as golems so I didn't gave it much thought to check other monsters. Villagers all have the same build speed except miners. Dancers/Bards and Merchants are the only one that have special times to build.

yes, they are miners that mine Ziizoe. They like to work hard when there is work to be done and relax hard just like on Khrumbul Dun.

Wait a tick... That last tip... Does that fast travel point spawn if you have already seen that specific build, or does it only spawn once *all* of that island's Builds have been found? (And don't split hairs. I *KNOW* that finding one in the field spawns a fast travel point. I am asking from the prospective of finding all the builds. Going to an island, seeing the travel point, then immediately returning is a lot faster than hunting down the build, only for it to be a repeat.)

If you have found all different builds of one specific island. The game tells you with the push of a button (down in the legend it says island info or something) how many you have already found :)

Yes. If you go to an island and hit (small words at bottom of map will tell you, I'm on switch) X for island info... at the top right it will tell you the island category and how many of the builder's bests you've found for that category. Because some of the islands share categories/builder's bests.

The skeleton monsters are faster from my experience. They don't take breaks either.

@@BenXC I didn't realise there was a limit of two. I noticed they were the fastest based on a 1 vs 1. If you compare them up against a team of miners they probably wouldn't be the fastest. Also love the new DQB2 videos too, so glad your making them again. You were the sole reason I started playing in the first place, so thank you I owe you a beer haha

@@BenXC thanks. 😄 Story npc miners [khrumdum] are lazy builders. I never attempted to recruit other miners when I already have 3 story miners in the isle of awakening. Maybe I should. Merchant npcs and monsters work on blueprints even at night. But I don't put the monsters near unholy chapel or summoning chamber because they'll spend most of their time in there.
