I think I get why Joseph tested his brothers like that. Let me explain; Joseph and Benjamin are half brothers to the 10 siblings as they are the sons of Jacob’s second wife Rachel. He tested them to see if something bad were to happen to another half-brother and what they would do, should Benjamin get into trouble as he was the youngest and the second favourite son of Jacob.

In a word, yes. Actual christians can provide more insight cuz I am truly going off the DreamWorks sequel to prince of Egypt. But Benjamin wasn't even born when Joseph left. Pretty sure they're full brothers. All the rest are half. Which if I was Benjamin, I'd be straight up WTF dad. Joseph was a miracle child because his mom was so old when she had him. So what does that mean for the other kid she had, even older. Poor bro. But yeah, it was a test to see if they were still kinda dicks. To his credit, Joseph was kinda raised to be a spoiled brat. Like in DreamWorks, you see Jacob push the brothers out of the way literally to coddle Joe. Not great parenting.

@@sha11235 you’re right. He knows what they did to him and his dreams about overpowering them have come true. It is true that he was trying to test him just to see if they have changed. By blaming Benjamin he’s showing them how cruel they were to him when he was the youngest brother. But he does see that they have changed and reveals himself and it all goes to forgiveness. So I agree with that statement.
