Who Should You Go For? (New Player Advice)

I am a new player and I just got lingsha, firefly tingyun and ruan mei are my favorite designs so I go for break teams

I suggest Firefly, mainly because it's so easy to use Ruan Mei for other teams, but the same cannot be said for Jiaoqiu. If he was a bit more universal, I would suggest Acheron because she's also a walking QoL with her technique, but your only great F2P support for her, thanks to her team building stipulation, is Pela. Luka, Guinaifen, Sampo, you might as well build DoT instead. Welt is also pretty substat greedy. Even if both can brute force content to a certain extent, I'd still choose Firefly because I still believe that weakness implants are better than colorless breaking, since it helps your team as a whole.

This may be a speculation, but if Tingyun is going to replace HMC, that could mean that the TB will likely be getting a new path sometime in version 3.x.

As a new player u gonna struggle hard anyway. I would just advice saving pulls and pull on the 3.X characters. It's gonna be another tier of powercreep just like 2.X was to 1.X.

Follow for Aventurine there wont be more preservation in the future untill not come patch 3.0. Main reason it's hard to powercreep him. There rest are easy to change people mind. Especially for Fugue. Sunday has also unique composition, so has change to get into team. At least for now.

Best way to start the game is to build the firefly superbreak team cuz it's cheap. Team is firefly, Gallagher, ruan mei, harmony mc. U don't need lingsha if u have a good Gallagher. Save up for ruan mei who can increase your spd as well as weakness break efficiency. U only need this. Also don't pull for acheron if u don't have sparkle, just don't.

@@jmcMateo dot team doesn't have a dedicated support that excels in endgame, maybe they release one down the line. My first two 5 stars ever were eoso acheron and eoso sparkle. I have tried to make acheron work but the damage drop off from s1 to s0 is significant. Also relic farming for her is difficult from my experience. You also need other debuffers for acheron to get more stacks of ult. I use welt/sampo, acheron, sparkle and pela. I tried to make the team work but it's difficult cuz of the relics. I now use the feixiao follow up and firefly superbreak team, which I finished building within one month compared to the acheron team which still hasn't been built. So in my advice firefly superbreak is the best one for newer players, lower investment and harmony mc is free. But if u can get e2s1 acheron, then I think acheron would be better. Everything greatly depends on your luck in pulls as well as the relic farming. And if u have lingsha u can use her with firefly. If u can save up for ruan mei or any new support for superbreak team. Also eoso firefly team is perfectly capable of clearing every endgame content.

I'd say clutch lingsha if you can because the summon meta is coming after break meta. Not to mention she's the better Rappa. Literally a erudition dps in disguise 😂

Given this new account doesn't have Ruan Mei... What do you do when RM doesn't get a 2nd rerun? Shes currently got a VERY high pull rate already so Hoyo wouldn't get any money out of rerunning her again. If she doesn't run you're betting on Fugue being a decent replacement for RM and working with Harmony TB? Otherwise what are you running with HMC/FF/ Lingsha? None of the options are great (Hm7? Asta? Gallagher? Dual dps?)

Since there's like 10 days left of this banner I'm afraid some new players might not be able to clutch lingsha, for which case I'd say gallagher still works with that team. Sure it's a downgrade, but you'll still have more pulls for that desirable e1 firefly.

Yeah, honestly as someone with E2S2 FF, Lingsha would have really been useful to me, but I skipped her since I got Topaz. I'm just waiting to get Aventurine to finally finish the FART Feixiao team then finally go all in on Fugue to boost up my FF team to the next millenium :D

@@darkcastle85 Take it with a grain of salt but based on leaks he's likely going to summon-based with action advance. I honestly think Sunday will be more for 3.X's summon meta than the current meta since his leaked kit mostly revolve around them. He might not have a solid DPS right now, but he'll probably be like Robin and once his game-changer DPS comes, he'll be BIS.

This is just simply bad advice. 💀No new players should pull for rerun DPS characters especially since we have a new harmony 5* unit coming soon and 3.0 in a few patches. They won't clear the content in the next few months. Imagine if somebody told you back in the day to pull for IL with Sparkle cause he will be on top. Just get the 5* support characters they are much more valuable than any DPS in the entire game and once we get new units you can form the teams you want because you have the backbone for them.

@@Ryunk0079 with this logic you would never pull for anyone cause there will always be a better dps in future patches, and the difference is the break team is the lowest investment team in the game vs dhil who needs the most optimal teammates and relic investment to keep up, not to mention ff team is one of the easiest to play in the game. No new player is gonna wait half a year to a year for a new dps that’ll let them clear the content one cycle faster, not to mention getting multiple limited harmonies is more annoying as there’s a finite amount of them and are rarely on banners. Your practically asking people to not pull for half the future patches and only pull harmonies for over half a year

@@_GabimaruIt seems like you are missing the point. You are not waiting half a year and as I said we will have Sunday in 2 patches and 3.0 coming. We get DPS characters everytime. "not to mention getting multiple limited harmonies is more annoying as there’s a finite amount of them" This is literally the reason 🤣You pick up the premium support units and when a DPS character drops you can build a team right away. We have 3 end game content mode and one thing is not changing the supports are used for every game mode. The one cycle faster comment is just stupid, thats how powercreep works. By this logic Feixiao is useless bc Ratio/Topaz/Robin clears 1 cycle slower regardless of the weakness type.
