The fact he was ex-military, and an Ex-FBI agent should have gotten him the longest time, not a lower sentence, seeing as there meant to be the ones up holding the law, and this guy was using his law as power to commit crimes.

So, let me get this straight; she, at some point, went along with the scam to "save her marriage", if she was so shocked by his initial proposal why did she not report him then? She only did so when they became embroiled in a custody battle. Was she not punished at all for her involvement? She also became involved with someone else during their marriage - it doesn't justify his actions but she was not a completely innocent in all of this.

How anyone could possibly say to themselves “I’ll be unhappy for 10 years, that’s okay” is utterly baffling for me. As for the law saying it’s okay to reunite kids with a father who’d used them as leverage to coerce their mother to lie in a criminal case is outrageous.
@raviyadav712
@raviyadav712 4 жыл бұрын
Her decision to be unhappy for 10 years was for her kids. I know a lot of women who are in an unhappy marriage but don't leave because they want to protect their kids from all the drama as much as possible, they want their kids to have a father and a mother looking after them under one roof especially when they're too young to understand the problems. Because any separation scars a child's mind and affects them in varying degrees. So this is a mother's sacrifice, most moms would relate to

Many many women, and men, sacrifice their lives and their happiness for the sake of the family unit. My mother stayed in her third unhappy marriage for 30 years, until she died of caner at age 57. She didn't want to go through a 3rd divorce and she invested an awful lot in this marriage. She had her small secret happinesses.

I don’t want to be married to my husband but he is unfit to have unsupervised visitation of the children. We separated before and I attempted to divorce before, but the kids all had severe mental issues as a result of his visitation- but the courts won’t protect any of us. I am waiting until it is safer for the kids- and they can choose the level of visitation they want (or don’t want). I’m not alone in this. It is easier to divorce a poor man than a rich man.

One of the very few crime docos where I feel no sympathy for the "victim". She went along with his many scams and even the insurance scam for the lost ring that he then re-gifted to her. Said and did nothing. She says she was willing to stay in the marriage for another 10 years although she'd be unhappy. But all that changed when she got involved with another woman and wanted to leave him and keep custody of the kids. That's when she dobbed him in. Yes, he's a sorry excuse for a man that is suppose to uphold the law but she's not much better.

She's a con artist. She profited from the house and ring scams (and possibly others we don't know about) and then she snitched on him when she wanted to leave him and take the kids off to live with the woman she was cheating with (that would have been her real plan). She knew that was HER ring that she also profited from the insurance payout for, she cheated on him and talks about broken trust etc. Not really a sympathetic character and definitely not someone deserving of a career in law enforcement.

While I think she should have had some kind of reprimand, I can understand why she went with it and then thought better of it - she was trying to keep the peace, trying to keep the marriage going and felt it was the only way to 'keep things simple'. When she had the affair and remembered what it was like to be in a loving relationship, she snapped out of her fog; it's easy to rug sweep and down play if you think it's normal, if the loss of love was gradual it may not have even been noticed, but the reminder was all it took to make her realise she was in the wrong, so she told authorities.

She needs to take responsibility as well as she kept her mouth shut even though she knew what her husband done was corrupt and the getting money for the ring insurance fraud on top she still stayed with him and had another child and kept her mouth shut.Then she only told on her husband when it suited her to get custody of her children.She is just as manipulative and no morals.

A great example of a strong woman, not seeking drama, trying her best to sort things out for years, but standing up to a man that almost killed her. She won, her girls are alive and she is a role model for many of us that have had to face violence at home. Thanks for sharing her story.

I'm 2/3rds in and can't help but think this lady is seeking pity for people to forget what she did. She was an FBI agent and committed fraud alongside her husband. Cut the BS. She should have been charged exactly like him. Yes he was a mad man but she's no angel...
