Valuetainment this might be an odd suggestion, but don't you think it would be better to say we want a million subs by a specific date than just the end of the year. From what I understand about writing goals the more specific it is the better🤔. It's just a thought I had.

Any deal over 50k you will have to deal with mind games. Only idiots expect 100% honesty in the world of business. The amount of mind game required goes like in line with number of zeros in your deal.

Great video! I have a story we all may be able to relate to in some form or fashion.. I started a business w my brother and eventually got tricked out of everything I worked for, for over a year. He partnered up w a major company and left me completely out, refusing even to allow me a penny for all my services and hard work. No paycheck for over 3 months and almost completely killing me, and those closest to me. As I was stupidly not ready for a complete fall. I was the originator of the business and brought him in to assist considering some of his expertise in the field we were in. I baked the cake! In the end this is, what I can only imagine turned into 100 percent greed on his part, considering he probably got a much better deal thru said major company. I relied on my blood and blindly considered him my running mate only to find out he was someone I didn't know and should not have trusted w my life and lively hood. I can relate to getting in the ring now as I may be forced to make a decision to either take the abuse or fight back! All I know is that My new motto is tick, tick, boom! As it stands today, I am in a enviable position, unbeknownst to them, as they are currently under lawsuit (brother and major business) by another major business for moving into sacred ground bound by non competes etc. "long story" What they have forgotten is obviously not only myself, and others close to me, but the years worth of information i.e. Emails and Texts that could very well implicate all in the lawsuit, as they blindly sit thinking they will win the suit, enjoying life and planning fwd on all of my hard work! The information held is worth millions upon millions of dollars and very well could be used in holding onto what is rightly mine. I have given everyone chance after chance to do the right thing by myself and others, but in the end could be forced to uppercut when all least expect. This is a lesson in life to get in the ring and fight! When you are right and have done the right things you owe it to yourself and others close to you to push fwd and never stop! People are people I guess, so just make sure you protect yourself as stated above and know your partners inside and out! Even those you regard as very close to you!! Updates soon and thank you for this video!

Hey Pat, you've explained the different kinds of liars out there but what is the best way to handle a liar.. I don't think ignoring is the best thing to do. so how should a man handle liars without offending them but at the same time do something that pricks and stings them like a bee?
@carloslara3346
@carloslara3346 7 жыл бұрын
I'm, not pat, although I would suggest being aware of when they lie and be sure they cannot hurt you or your business with that lie. if you simply don't trust them because of a lying issue then don't do business with them! although if you want to call them out for it, do it. if you hurt their feelings, so what, you're being the honest person

Great info. This clears up some things for me. I keep second guessing my decision about doing business with someone who doesn't have the best ethical history. My first thought was, "I know him well, so he won't catch me off guard". Then I keep wondering if I'm being a fool and should terminate the business relationship. It's good to know that I'm not being foolish, because the wisdom comes from knowing who I'm dealing with and what to expect. Just like always, the right piece of wisdom comes along at just the right time. Thank you. keep up the good work.

3:40 Having skin in the game, scar tissue. 3:55 The more successful one becomes, the higher the level success they reach - more they trust *less* , not more. (those positive thinky books are written by consultants with no real skin in the game; not people who have run actual businesses). 7:16 Calling ‘bullshit’😂 9:20 When you get into a boxing match [the world of business], you don’t blame your opponent, instead *you get better at defense.* You can’t change other people - *it’s your opponent’s job to knock you out.* 10:18 This video is going to make you and save you millions of dollars in legal fees, but more importantly - you will sleep better at night when you know how to handle these kinds of people. 12:15 You can control it. You can make adjustments. It’s ALL ABOUT PIVOTING; It’s all about audibles; it’s all about small moves you can be making.

The idea of always being skeptical and on guard is another great lesson to teach. In my experience I would add one more category. The,"it's never their fault person". They are never accountable or responsible for things that go wrong and are always trying to deflect blame to other people no matter how big the lie they have to tell.

Take care when judging compulsive liars. It can be a response to a lot of bullshit growing up, and all they need is to trust you. Some go over the edge, but few (as with all groups) maybe the last people standing if you have shown them honesty they never experienced else. But lying is connected with worst of the worst so this is a hard one. Deceivers are the worst scum, no doubt about it, and unlike compulsive you wont be reminded every time .

Each time we prioritize emotions and leave our principles we get hit.... principles should be at the top with whoever we do business, trust should be estimated in terms of loss if it happens. One of my friends asked for a report from his finance department for each customer how much he got profits from them, he will give them maximum credit of that amount, so if he loses he loses only the profit what he got from him, so he trust them but in a specific limit.

Pat if you read this, shave your mustaches please ;) About the content, great again. And for my experiences, in my last job the director was perfect in most of those lies. He is still good at it but the problem is that he is not only lying to sell something but he also lied to us, his employees. Most of us have left but some are still there. The good news is that I learned a lot how not to handle customers or my own employees now and I am growing constantly because of this. Especially last week was amazing. I got two long term goals achieved and it is much easier now despite the fact that I am nearly broke but I will manage it. Thanks to your lessons I took the hard way down and you know, once you hit the bottom the only way is up. Thanks for all inspirational and educational videos. I hope I will be able to shake your hands in the future :) Cheers, Matjaz!
