Honestly, there are so much different patterns and STCs of the Bolter/Bolt rifle even in the 40K universe that having one sightly differ from one another should be mandatory !

To my knowledge, there's only like, 5 variants of boltgun that are actually named, and a few, the two I can think of off the top of my head being the Mars-pattern and shrapnel Bolter, of them are the exact same visually, however there's over two dozen Las-Guns, at least 7 named and at least 5 have canon looks.

I love this. I've seen boltguns made by some of the best propmakers on the internet and they look boxy and cheap. The thing is the models have to tone down the detail to be pheasable. You need to add details when you scale up.

Dude, i made a Maschinenpistole from Wolfenstein II: The new Colossus and it was amazing. It weighs about 1,6 kgs, but has no mechanisms. Just a lot of filament. It turned out so cool. I primed it, painted it and weathered it. It took me also a lot of time, but i wasnt non-stop working on this project, sadly. I had a lot of fun making it and was happy that i brought it to the Aniventure Comic Con in Bulgaria. I cosplayed as Serious Sam and thought it would be an amazing idea to bring this gigantic machine pistol as my weapon. I didnt had the iconic cannon or the rocket launcher, but this gun did the job done. Sadly, i printed the parts on my Ender 3 Pro and they werent perfect AT ALL. There were many clearances that i needed to use putty for them. Also the painting costed quite a lot. But still, i learned a lot and am ready for the next challenge.

Reminder that under the UK Violent Crime Reduction Act of 2006 you may be at risk of prosecution for making, selling, or importing one of these ("realistic imitation firearms") without specific exemptions and defences such as film making, re-enactment, or something similar to the UKARA registration for airsoft. Unless it's sprayed certain bright colours making it merely an "imitation firearm", such the red here being a possible defence. So combined with having made a film with it, you should be okay I think. :P Nerf guns and water pistols are technically illegal to sell to anyone under 18, btw, which could be a factor in GW not partnering with Nerf because they already have to remember glue, knives, and spray paints are age restricted, this is just going to make it all too complex.... :D

I really think NERF shouldn't be trusted with WH40K blasters. their blasters have gone up in price and down in quality, the 40K blasters would be in better hands with Adventure force or X-shot which is almost the same quality for a much better price and a blaster that performs just as well (if not a little better)

I find people with ADHD ten to stay laser focused when it's something their excited about If it's not stimulating enough, they lose attention. Scroll down to the bottom of my video description and read the bit where it says “edited by vidpros” I use a 3rd party service to edit my videos because when I did them myself, it would take me me 2 weeks to finish one, if I ever did. Now all I do is film the footage as I do a thing. Talk about it and send all that audio and video to them, for them to compile. They finish it. And most of the time they pretty much require me to send them more stuff. It’s also the reason for all the stock footage used.

As I sit here now I have 4 printer reviews that are unfinished because I can't find the drive to do them and all i need to do is finish some small amount of filming for each and write up a script. I struggle, every single day, and when i get started I will become laser focussed because I'll know what I'm doing and the passion and words will flow out of me. But yeah I take a little offence that I'm acting this out. especially when it's the first time I've openly discussed it. mental health and neurodivergence is already not easy to talk about, so I thought, I'll take a more original approach of discussing it without complaining about it as an attempt to normalise it and relate to people. I get someone telling me I'm acting and playing on it! Now don't get me wrong, i can take it, this is far from the worst criticism I've had. And you are welcome to your opinion. But no, I am not "acting", I'm just being me, in the best way I know how. I guess you are just doing the same.

The study is about kids who grew up and have been told they have adhd vs. the kids who didn't but also had adhd, the study also included adults who were diagnosed later in life Of the people studied, 75% of the people who didn't know they had adhd were more productive, that's to say the children who were diagnosed were lazier. Of the adults who were diagnosed later in life, nearly 75% of them were LESS productive or lazy after the diagnosis I have ADHD, my children have it, the wife has it, I work a day job and a tiny biz in the evenings (not going to explain why the day job, you've heard one sad sob story, you've heard them all) I went to Texas to see family I haven't seen in 25 years. I helped them with their business while there, down, dirty physical work, at near 50 I was more productive than the 20 somethings who had been diagnosed with ADHD women are worse than men, tell a woman her legs broke, and she'll milk that sheet till the end of time, tell a man he'll plan ahead on how to deal with it so he can still work. On the other hand, soyboy milktoast men (who are feminine) will call in over the littlest things. My back burts from this weekend at the lake, I got sunburned 🤦‍♂️ run some sand on your mangina and let's go I'm a dying BREED, take a thousand men, out of that thousand less than a hundred still have the (work hard / play hard) mentality. Now it's (work less / play at work) If I started channel for the lazy people I've fired, almost all your viewers would agree I wasn't being a deek. Worse people than the person at McDonald's drive thru window on their phone 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I've been using Elegoo's PLA filament. It's really cheap and looks fine. I can't speak for it's layer adhesion or strength, but I tend to print a lot of decorations and they are all serviceable.

The original boltguns were inspired by the likes of the Sten SMG, according to one of the original sculptors (Bob Naismith, I think? He was talking on The Painting Phase), and then the design has gone through an iterative process based on being for miniatures, so naturally scaling up one of the bitz won't look right; a lot of the finer detailing that should be present is physically impossible to model at that scale. I like the design, it definitely puts me more in mind of a human-grade, "lite" boltgun than the full-fat version only usable by the Astartes. Not a criticism, by any means. Maybe GW can speak to NECA, who made the 1:1 replicas of the Gears of War Lancers alongside doing work for other properties. A bolter and some pattern of lasgun would be really cool to own. As for the Chaos Bolter? Normally I would say the Iron Warriors, but my concern would be the ADHD with all that masking. Instead, maybe Emperor's Children for the colour, or something generally worn and maybe showing signs of decay? Those ones would be older with likely worse maintenance than the loyalist ones.

This is amazing, but isn't it scaled down a bit? I know there are bolters for certain special officers to use but they are smaller than the space marine variants.

Come on now, no need for the nitpicking. If it is true to scale, the grip will be too large for a normal human hand to hold properly, thus making the intention of making it a playable nerf gun a moot point. It'll only be good for decoration piece, or if you ever have time and money to finish your true to scale space marine cosplay
