The saddest part of this is no matter how much you dye your hair the grey is there, and it will continue to return. If you grey at 20 your face looks twenty and if it greys at 50 your face looks 50. Aging is not about your hair color it is about how you feel. If you feel vital and young at heart no grey or white hair can take that away from you. Be thankful you still have hair as some go bald with age. You're more than your hair color

I have grey strands in the front of my hair, and a few sparatically throughout my head. I think grey hair is and can be very beautiful. Society is so confused and jacked up, we've been taught to despise getting old, instead of embracing it, it's truly a blessing these days! So many people are leaving this world young, old. I'm just grateful I made it too see grey hairs🙏🏽❤️

Yes it’s the mental conditioning that messing us up. Being able to age naturally is a blessing. 🤍

Thank you for the video. I am totally grey. I stopped coloring my hair in 2019, and I am so glad I did. I don't have many eyebrows due to the over waxing 🙄😂..so I do simple eyebrows in dark brown. In my 50s, I feel more confident and free.😊

I agree with yhe lady that said, "YES"I dye my hair! White hair is unruly and unattractive especially if your a curly natural with type 4+ hair, it doesn't es age you if its unruly. I will put a rince in my hair til im 80+ especially if i still look gr8 and I'm active. Ive been dying my hair since i was 17. I noticed the ugly buggers at 16. 15yrs ago i developed an allergy to my plain old blk dye so, i was forced to use a rince and ive been using that rinice ever since. When your really dark and you get all these lil balls on your face/forehead that look like you've got massive amounts of lint it absolutely make you look old. Now for a straight natural that maybe different.

I got my hair colored last June, but it wasn't to cover my grey; it was to highlight specific areas of my hair. I have a lot of grey, and I am happy to let it shine through. Oh, I also have grey in my eyebrows, and I don't try to hide it. Nicely groomed eyebrows look lovely, no matter if they are black or salt and pepper. I accept aging well and embracing whatever comes. I will still be my age, regardless of the change of hair color, and I will look it, too.😊 I think each person has to be ready to wear their grey hair, and some are just not ready. I get it. Oh, and I forgot to mention that I honestly believe that most people do not want to see women doing their grey hair on KZbin because, well, I just feel that way, mainly since I used to create hair videos. So, going forward on my channel, I focus on being and aging well and embracing all that comes with it, even the grey hair. I have changed my channel focus, and I do not plan to make a lot of hair videos. Interesting topic!❤

I enjoyed watching your hair videos!!! I now enjoy your coloring videos. Seeing your pictures in my feed always brightens my day 😊. I can understand not wanting to deal with peoples judgements about wanting to color your hair. I think your hair looks good however you style it. I try not to judge people because I have been there with coloring my hair to cover gray and I also used to have the mentality that looking “old”means looking unattractive. I have since observed and learned otherwise, mostly from spending time with people in real life and watching shows (mostly cartoons and anime) from different cultures. There is so much evidence out now that any hair color or texture can be styled to look good. Any age of human can be stylish and look good.

When I started to get gray, I thought I would just keep coloring it. Fast forward to circa 2016. The grays were coming in fast and furious. I decided at that point that I loved my grays simply because I was NOT going to continue with the frequency required to keep them covered. Now, I am completely gray and I love, love, love it. I keep my hair super short (I had tailbone length hair until 3 years ago) because it is easy for me and I believe it compliments my features. Deciding to go gray can be a daunting task/decision for some women. Some will do it, others will never do it, Either is okay. For me, it was a quick and easy decision, and I haven't looked back. By the way, you and your hair are stunningly beautiful.

Thank You for your thoughtful comment. 😌 I agree the choice to go gray is on the individual. My question has more to do with the notion that going gray means “looking old” in which “old” is synonymous with unattractive or undesirable. 😑 When I first went natural I “big chopped”. And had very short hair that I colored to cover my gray. At 35 I decided to stop 🛑 coloring. Like you, I love being gray. I love how old I look. 🤍

@@thatwildethunderchild392 I just give a little chuckle at those who believe that going gray means someone is looking old and unattractive. And we all know that these comments are intended for women. The notion is that when men have gray hair, they are "refined" and distinguished." I also get a chuckle at that claim. A woman's gray hair does not make her look old and unattractive. Poor lifestyle choices can contribute to aging badly. Genetics contribute to attractiveness. People who believe that gray hair makes women look old and unattractive are typically very young (24 and younger) or ignorant. These groups get really confused when shown pictures of beautiful women of a certain age with gray hair, and young unattractive women with non-gray hair. I suppose it is sensory overload for them. For me, a woman who maintains her physical fitness has pretty skin, sees her dentist as scheduled, etc., and has gray hair, there is an essence and allure to her that makes her attractive. She, and we, will always be attractive and desirable. The End. Lol.

I’m team longevity. I modeled for an Italian sculptor with my platinum strands-these strands are natural highlights. I looked attractive with completely dark hair and I look attractive with my platinum strands highlighting the darker hair. By the way, my teen daughter got her first platinum strand at 14 years old. I do think a lot of BW have a problem with how they look in general (features, weight etc.), and they mask their discomfort with their appearance by scapegoating their hair. I mean, how does someone say gray hair makes them look older, yet they are overweight and excess weight ages them more?

@@EmpressWanderlust Longevity is definitely where it’s at 💯! As to the part about body weight that’s an interesting 🤔 question as I have seen some youtuber’s who they personally felt they started to looking better when they put on weight. Ones that come to mind are Mrs. Nora Potts and Mrs. Milly_in_Denmark. I don’t synonym old and unattractive. One can be unattractive at any age and at any size.

@@EmpressWanderlust just wanted to add that it’s wonderful that your daughter is enjoying her first gray strand 😁. I started graying around that age too and the gray hair is genetic in my family.

I think that dislike of grey hair for women is about being sexually desired by men and discriminated against in society. for me neither one defines who I am.
