When our own recorded histories have such figures as Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Brennus, Alaric, Attila the Hun, Genghis Khan and Godfrey of Bouillon, why shouldn't there have been an Achilles, an Agamemnon, an Odysseus, a Hector?

The Trojan War, The Patriarchs, and The Exodus were all considered historical events and taught in history classes up until suddenly in the 1800s and 1970s respectively, of a sudden 'critical' scholarship considered Abraham and the Trojan War outright mythical. Even though the reasons for doing so is total garbage and flys in the face of all the archaeological and textual evidence discovered during the 20th century.

Alexander the Great visited the site of Ancient Troy in 334 B.C., as he embarked on his campaign against the Persian Empire, leading a unified Greek Army (Hellenic League). The visit to Troy held both personal and strategic significance for Alexander. On one hand, it fulfilled his long-held desire to pay tribute to his hero Achilles and connect with the glorious past of Greek mythology. On the other hand, the visit served as a powerful symbolic gesture that showcased his intention to unite the Greek world under his rule and carry on the legacy of the legendary heroes. Upon reaching the Tomb of Achilles, Alexander took a moment to pay his respects and acknowledge the greatness of the legendary warrior. Then, Alexander poured oil over the tomb, a customary practice in ancient Greek funerary rituals, symbolizing purification and sanctification. He also placed garlands of flowers and foliage on the tomb, signifying honor and respect for the deceased. Next, Alexander and Hephaestion sacrificed animals, likely horses, to honor the spirits of Achilles and Patroclus. This ritual was meant to appease the souls of the dead and seek their favor. Finally, Alexander is believed to have organized athletic games at the site, following the ancient Greek tradition of hosting such competitions in memory of deceased heroes. By paying homage to Achilles, Alexander was reinforcing his connection to the heroic past and legitimizing his claim to lead the Greek world. After Troy and his first victory at the battle of the Granicus, while leading a unified Greek Army (Hellenic League) to avenge the Persian invasions in Greece 150 years prior, Alexander the Great sent 300 suits of full Persian armour (to honor the legendary last stand of the 300 Spartans in Thermopylae) to Athens, as a votive offering to Goddess Athena, to be hung on the Acropolis. He ordered an inscription to be fixed over them; “Alexander, son of Philip and all the Greeks, present this offering from the spoils taken from the barbarians inhabiting Asia". A statue group, known as the Granicus Monument, was erected by Alexander in the sanctuary of Zeus at Dion. This consisted of bronze statues by Lysippus, of Alexander with twenty-five of his companions who had died in the initial cavalry charge, all on horseback. Alexander the Great is a sacred, immortal, legendary figure for us Greeks. Mostly for uniting all Greek City States and Kingdoms and spreading the unique Hellenic culture to the edges of the world. The rightful descendant of legendary Achilles. Eternal Hellas 🔥🇬🇷

History is explained in symbolisms, originally to make it easily understandable for dumb people, but in our times today, dumb people are the ones who doesn't understand symbolisms. Centaur is a symbol for type of person who spends most of his time on his horse, so possibly a Gypsy/Nomad of their time.

I assume Achilles and the Trojan war was real for one very simple reason: when Alexander the Great visited Troy, he laid a wreathed on Achilles tomb. Why would that be mentioned if there was no real Achilles or Troy for that matter (and Haephastion laid one at Patroculus tomb). And I buy into the homosexual relationship because back then they didn't have the hangups we have today. Alexander had many female lovers as well as a wife but had homosexual relationships as well, including Bogaos the eunuch. People who argue vehemently against the homosexual aspect of Achilles/Alexander/Greek culture is trying to hard. This is why the gays in the military argument has no background: the greatest fighters/generals in the world were homo/bi and there was nothing wrong with it. Sorry to go off on the deep end, but this is the real basic argument against them being homo/bi because a lot of people today have a problem with this (mainly conservative Christians but I digress).

@@Paul-yc5dc The sacred band of Thebes I believe were paired gay lovers. They would fight side by side in the line so there was always an even number of soldiers and they would fight to the death trying to show off for one another and impress one another on and off the battlefield. They were basically gay married couples that fought to the death for each other's glory by each other's side.

Very cool. The story of the Myrmidons is a rather mysterious one. I recalled that they were created as men from ants, by an act of Zeus, following a disaster, though I thought they were autocthonous to Pthia. Having looked it up, I misremembered the story a bit, as they were created in this way, following a disaster, but it was after a plague (rather than a flood, as I thought). Also, they were not originally native to Pthia, but were described as being from Aegina. Aeacus was the king of Aegina, and his son Peleus brought Myrmidons to Pthia, presumably making them the Achaians who conquered the natives there and established 'Mycenaean' rule and civilization.

@@antoniodaguiar392 That would be matching to the story, that his son, Neoptolemos, came to Troy too, near the end of the campaign, being old enouth to assist the army, even fight. He probably got Neoprolemos when just 13-14 (since no woman could resist him, he was a demi-god after all, not comparable with other males). So, Neoprolemos would have been in his early teens, when arrived in Troy. Achilles had a very deep relationship to Hector´s youngest sister, Polyxena, wanted to change sides for her, told that Hector too !!! Hector would imprison her, and lie to Achilles, that she has changed her mind... Thus sealing Troy´s fate, since the Greeks cannot win without Achilles, that´s the Oracle (and Achilles being on Polyxena´s and Hector´s side, means, the Greeks have nothing to fullfill the Oracle). When later Hector killed Patroklos, Achilles was double-raging over Hector, having stolen Polyxena AND Patroklos from him, and so, go and kill Hector. In the meantime, Polyxena would sneak out, and Achilles sneak in, and meet her, But Paris noticed that, and killed Achilles with a poisoned arrow in one of those meetings.

There was an ancient Greek empire then the Romans took out the Greeks. The Greeks do have history, Athens was their greatest city state, Sparta their war like state. Without the Greeks, you would have no science in Europe, democracy or western philosophy. As an British person, I can tell you that Greek, that was the everyday language of the Roman, as Latin was their formal language, and these languages are part of English's root languages along with Norse and Germanic languages. So without the ancient Greek empire, you'd have no English with which to dis the Greeks. My late father was a classics scholar and English and Latin teacher. Anyway your country has its own history. Go learn that, like how you held out against the Nazis. 🙄

@@julianaylor4351 Greeks had copied more than 50 % of their history from the Bulgarians, and call it now "Greek". Yes, Greeks have history and we the awakened call it Pseudo Greek. Further, the Civilization was formed by the Bulgarians who are the Oldest on the Balkans and Europe, not by the Greeks. The greatest mathematicians were the Bulgarians and even the wheel came from the Bulgarians. There was no Greek Empire in Europe. Democracy, I don´t give a shit about it, because there is no democracy anywhere - just dictatorship. Countries are run by politicians charlatans and don´t give a voice to the ppl. If you believe that indirect democracy in your country is democracy at all, then you are realy brainwashed by pseudo western democracy. Fhilosophy is not Greek monopoly - people philosified shortly after Adam and Eve and there was no Greeks. The very word Greek means "Thief" in Latin and no wonder, since they steal other peoples history. The word Sparta is Thracians (Bulgarian) since Spartacus was a Thracian. Thracians were not Greeks, but ancient Bulgarians. British ppl, just like the rest of the west do not know history, especially the Bulgarian one. Their ignorance makes me tired. Further, English, Greek and Latin are based on Bulgarian. Even in Germanic/Nordic you can find a lot of Bulgarian words. Greeks didn´t even invent a single letter in their alphabet. They have copied the letters from the others, like the Bulgarian letters. Cyrillic is much older. Finally, I can tell you, that it was Bulgarians who ruled the world, both phisically and spiritually, and were closest to God.

@@julianaylor4351 Sorry, but there was no Greek Empire in Europe but Macedonian and Bulgarian. Greeks are newcommers from the East (but were Subsaharian). To Macedonia (The ancient land of the Bulgarians) they arrived in 810 BC as migrators. After that they were defeated by the Macedonians (= Bulgarians) in around 4th c. BC and were incorporated in the Macedonian Empire. After that Greeks were subjected to Roman Empire, and after that to the Ottoman Empire. Greece itself is very young country from the 19th c AD. Bulgaria is the oldest. Sorry, but if your father knew history properly, then he ought to know that the Minoan and the Pelasgian language is Bulgarian from the beginning. They call it now Slavic. Greeks adopted a lot of it.

@@antonpikadilli8771 Thanks for agreeing. Regarding Otto I don´t know much about him, but tanks - it seems to be just another western Propaganda and modern fair-tales. Regarding Slavic, believe me, Thracian and Slavic is same. Slav is not ethnicity. The so called modern Slavic is based on ancient Thracian-Pelasgian-Boharic. You can still recognise words if you are boned linguist/etymologist. I can prove it any time, therefore I am preparing a book, i.e. glossary lists that I plan to publish later. I have reserached on Bulgarian/Thracian language since 1996, so nobody can lie to me anymore. We all were brain-washed by modern history "books", which have no historic background. Further, most ancient Thracian, Minoan or Pelasgian known names or words can be explained in Bulgarian (Pseudo Slavic). It´s not by accident.
