Hello, I know about Brian Peppers because one of my teachers long ago took that picture with the light switch. the photo creds goto Billy Martin, a Media Explorations teacher at the Hilliard Heritage Middle School. he actually showed me the exact location the photo was taken, and it matched. Billy Martin has a physical drawing Brian left on his desk hanging on the wall in his office. I will get a photo of the drawing tomorrow and link it here. Scary fact about him: Billy Martin told me that he once poured a corrosive liquid onto his tounge.

People are lying to themselves if they claim that their mocking of him is in some way tied to righteous outrage at whatever offense he committed. They're making fun of him en masse because of the way he looks. It has nothing to do with him being a sex offender, that's simply a justification people are using to feel morally validated about mocking someone for the results of a condition he was born with. Participating in the mockery of another person over the internet isn't the most saintly thing and it isn't the worst thing but lets not pretend that it is something it isn't. this stuff still makes me feel so weird. i remember a day in high school in like 04 where my friend’s older brother was like, “you ever look at the sex offender registry in our area?” and showed us brian peppers. then his picture was everywhere online and irl for years. just imagine being a kid in the height of bj peps mania, living like 5 miles away from him. another friend actually worked in the laundry room where he was rumored to stay, but never peeped the peps.

@@bludreams4722 He groped a nurse who was tending him. He was severely handicapped. In that scenario you can't even establish intent to rape because it's questionable whether Peppers was even capable of understanding something like consent. His family has gone through nearly 2 decades of harassment because of it, and he was harassed until the day he died by people whose ire he didn't understand. Anyone human being who laughs at that or finds it amusing or can't find empathy for Peppers and his family is a small, insignificant person. You are smaller than an insect, and one day when you actually grow up and develop a sense of emotional nuance more intricate than that of a toddlers you're going to look back and feel like a fucking asshole for mocking a handicapped man. Imagine having to have to explain to a parent what a meme is (they weren't even called memes back then) and defend the fact that you're not actually threatening to rape anybody.
