Definitely. Auerstadt, his work in the 1813 battles in Germany, and the "missing man" at Waterloo (it should have been him there and Ney at Wavre).

I would say Louis-Nicolas Davout is the greatest of the Marshals, solely for his extraordinary performance at Auerstadt. The shocking embarrassment of the Prussian Army, so respected following Fredrick the Great and the Seven Years War, at Jena-Auerstadt and the general collapse of the Prussian army and state within just 2 months of October-November 1806 is, IMO, the catalyst for the reforms to the Prussian Army that result in it unifying Germany, winning the Franco Prussian War, and eventually leading to WW1 and WW2.

I guess Joachim Murat, comes to mind . Flamboyant , dandy, dashing , handsome and a bit of a celebrity. Murat also led some of the greatest cavalry charges in history . Battle of Eylau for example . Very interesting , thanks for sharing

There was only one and that was Marshal Ney. Ney lead the retreat in 1812, and was the main stay of the 1813, 1814 and 1815 campaigns and repeatedly choosen by Napoleon himself to lead his main force in all these campaigns.

Bernadotte - well chosen Dr. Zack White, why Davout was elevated? His military service was not at all inspiring till 1804, Marmont beats him hands down in that account, or Dupont, or Souham or Richepance, Davout had his good days in 1806 Auerstedt and 1809 but in 1812 lacklustre, fell out with Napoleon, Soult, Marmont, Suchet, St. Cyr, Masséna, Lannes, in m view all superior to him.
