The curious part when it comes to Lamar is how people just forget about some of the criticisms he's faced once it's clear they were bs. People were saying he wasn't smart enough to lead a nfl offense, they said he'd be too tired by the end of the game to play the position, at one point they said he was incapable of playing from behind, or that he couldn't throw the ball outside the numbers, that 2019 was just a fluke, that he was injury prone, and now it's that he can't play in the post season. If the dude wins MVP and the superbowl this year we already know what's going to happen. They'll say the only reason they got there was the defense and the 2nd MVP is just because it's a down year for QB's or that he doesn't deserve it because he's not getting big statistical games against bad opponents.

What separates him from the likes of Vick is that he's only getting better. However, if Lamar goes to any other team, who knows how his development goes. As a Pats fan, there are only three head coaches who know how to protect and develop their QBs: Reid, McDaniels, and Harbaugh. Maybe you could put McVay in there. Too turnover prone in big moments. Also diggs can be attributed for much of Allen’s success. Lamar has never even played with an offensive weapon that is even 60% of what Diggs can provide. Flowers is a big step up, but is he anything compared to Diggs? No. Give lamar a true number 1 like diggs and I think his production increases greatly, surpassing Allen.

@@nasirbakare1359 Diggs helped but don’t act like Lamar doesn’t have an elite receiver as well. Andrews is elite and has been a top 3 TE in the league for however long now. It’s amazing how people just try to tear Allen down constantly to try and take away how great of a player he is.

Lamar has one playoff win (1-3) a career 45.9 playoff QBR. Josh has better career stats in every category, 4-4 playoff record including beating Lamar head to head in the playoffs and Lamar is better because they MAY go further this year? Some sound logic.

Who on Lamar's roster has even been close to the level of Stefon Diggs? Nobody even comes close. Lamar has never had a legit proven WR1 and even now his best WR is a rookie. Yet Lamar wins more games and is able to do more with way less. We all saw what Allen looked like before he got to play with a top 5 WR. If Lamar had Josh Allen's roster he would have easily a better post season record, where you couldn't say the same if Allen had to play on the raven's roster. Context matters when judging individual talent. if there was a redraft it would be stupid not to take Lamar over Allen.
