I was waiting for a conversation about the East-to-West trading that would have existed in Africa because of the relative stability in the climate along the lines of latitude. Guns, Germs, and Steal gives a more comprehensive description of how humans migrated thousands of years ago. I wish the narrator made the connection to the Tyrian Purple and the Carthaginians. It was one of the costliest and most mysterious dyes in ancient times. Used first by the Phoenicians, it was taken from the secretions of several species of mollusks, Murex brandaris, and Purpura haemostoma, and was reserved for use by royalty, priests, and nobles. I also wish that the narrator cited his sources. Some of the migration stories can be found in The Iliad. The images in this clip were remarkable. Now we need a movie about Queen Dido.

They did a very good job but it's always funny when historians use modern day maps to describe ancient Africa. For example, River Ethiope is in present day Nigeria (not modern Ethiopia), River Niger is in present day Nigeria (not Niger), Benin Kingdom is in Nigeria (not Benin Republic), the list goes on. Ancient Ethiopia encompassed the whole of West & East Africa not just the country that adopted the name.

I think it would have been more credible to portrait Angelic beings just in statues. Here they portrait many humans as angelic beings as the statue of Astarté the Egyptian goddess. Well he missed to say an important fact. All languages, even Hebrew, developed from the Phoenician language. Phoenicians were the true developers in the Ancient World.

@rakification5 ай бұрын
The Phoenicians were Semitic speaking people from Sinai/North Egypt. They were probably descendants from the white tribes who took over in Egyptian Middle Kingdom times
@joeskys23625 ай бұрын
@@rakification Semitic people are afro Asiatic. Which means they were black people that moved to Asia. There are even Nimrud ivory Sculptures of black Phoenicians. Ancient Nimrud is located all the way in west Asia in Northern Iraq. Some were even dressed like Pharaohs. Like Eshmunzar the 2nd. The king of the Phoenician city called Sidon in modern day Lebanon.
@rakification5 ай бұрын
@@joeskys2362 Afro-Asiatic language is a term for the geographical distribution of the languages, it doesn’t say anything about the physical appearance of its speakers. Some were (and are) darker skinned and some not. But especially Phoenicians were in best case light brown, but not black, if you mean black like nowadays sub-saharians. At that time after 1000 bc North Egypt was not black ruled. There was just one time frame, when the indeed black ruler Taharka, who was Cushitic, took over northern Egypt and even Levantine. So he was literally fighting against Phoenicians and others from the region and after his reign, the mesopotamian kings got northern Egypt back. The Nimrud figures doesn’t show people with black curly hair, but the south European or west Semitic form of curly you would see also today on people from those regions. Also it has been found, that non of these Phoenicians figures were actually made in the cities of the Phoenicians, but as you’ve said in Irak. Why would no black group make these figures at least in North Africa, let’s say Egypt or Sudan, but in clearly more light skinned areas like Irak? It just doesn’t add up. And the only figures with Egypt hieroglyphics are so bad made, that it’s not realistic, that somebody who knows Egypt and its hieroglyphics would create them so wrong

ChatGPT: The origin of the Etruscans has long been debated, and while some theories have suggested links to Africa, the prevailing view among scholars is that the Etruscans were not from Africa but rather originated within or near the Italian peninsula. Here’s a brief overview of the main theories: Indigenous Origin (Villanovan Hypothesis): This theory, widely supported by recent genetic studies and archaeology, suggests that the Etruscans developed from the indigenous Villanovan culture of northern Italy, which existed from the 9th to the 8th century BCE. The Etruscan civilization flourished in the region of Tuscany and parts of northern and central Italy. Eastern Mediterranean Origin (Herodotus’ Theory): The ancient Greek historian Herodotus proposed that the Etruscans came from Lydia (in modern-day Turkey) and migrated to Italy due to famine. This theory held sway for many centuries but has since lost support as genetic and linguistic evidence has not strongly corroborated it. African Hypothesis: Some fringe theories have speculated that the Etruscans had African origins, potentially due to cultural influences from Egypt or North Africa. However, there is no substantial archaeological or genetic evidence to support direct African migration as the origin of the Etruscans. Recent DNA studies of Etruscan remains indicate that they were closely related to other ancient Italic peoples and shared significant genetic similarities with modern populations in Tuscany. This reinforces the idea that they were likely a local or regional population with some external influences from trade and cultural interactions in the Mediterranean, rather than migrants from Africa.

I'm not saying the people of Baluchistan are dark skin but very dark skin people did roam around south asia from bangladesh to sri lanka to yemen, australia and the east coast of africa (genetically) before the bantu expansion all over the african continent. It is most likely the indian ocean was the ethiopian ocean rather than the atlantic which had different type of melanine travellers (europeans) according to the natives of north and south americans (archeologically speaking). Ahh of course the Phoenicians... The ladies of the Phoenix, this group of women were the architectural thinkers of excellent craftsmanship. They were best vocal dictators whom prompted the men wimen and child as though they saw. They were best relegated as Karma because they knew the very thought crafted in mind brought about in the beings. Luxury and creativity were their excellences but they thought of thoughts to be and created a world of love and beauty to be. When their thoughts were once pure they all band together to think thoughts of oppulance as the creators dictated the patters of creativity. Karma became justice when their own began to battle for the power and control of the "thoughts" to create vices for the community. Many of them were beautiful and fell victim to the colonization of the control of their one true power. Creative thought!

Nun but facts here 1000% 🤝🏿👍🏿💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯 The Israelites were also the builders of Estruscan and Greece, and Tartaria at that time too. So African presence was obviously rampant and predominant around Eurasia, given the early timeframe of racial history. Many eurocentrics refuse to accept these things right now

The Phoenicians were Moors. If you look at some old map, it shows that the Numidans ( Moors ] all across Northern Africa. The word Phonics comes from the word Phoenician . So did not the Phoenicians introduce the Alphabet to Europe 🤔🤔🤔 . Yes they Phoenicians form a Confederate sea with Northern Africa, you know why 🤔 because they were all the same people just different tribes of Moors , the word Moor mean Lord, Noble, Ruler. The Moors are Imazighen's [ Amazigh] meaning a people born of Royal and Noble birth . There's were different tribes of Moors that settled all the across Northern Africa. There were Moors in Libya 🇱🇾, Algeria 🇩🇿, Tunisia 🇹🇳, Morocco 🇲🇦 Mauritania 🇲🇷 Senegal 🇸🇳, Mali 🇲🇱 Niger 🇳🇪, Western Sahara and across the Atlantic Ocean on to the shores of North America 🌎 All of them form and joined a Confederacy , Is maintaining their own dependence , but come together to assist one another, especially in time of war .Each state having its own sovereignty.

I hate to break it to you, but the Phoenicians came straight out of Lebanon and were described back then by their peers as having light “ruddy” skin. So more along the lines of Arabs or Jews.

khazarian ws doctrines, the Phoenicians are Ethiopians. That's why the Carthaginians and Moors were combined of Hebrews n Africans, Phoenicia was first.

@ They came from Canaan known now as Lebanon and they were described as have ruddy skin which mean red and blotchy. Doesn’t sound black to me. The genomes test showed as Mediterranean and closer to European than anything else.

@@moranmoran the Bible lists the Phoenicians as Canaanites, Canaanites are descension from Ham, a Ethiopian. The descriptions you're reading are iconoclastic narratives n propaganda. The real Phoenicians were black, and so were the Egyptians and Israelites of that time. They were all of the same complexions with close resemblance because they descend from Shem and Ham, two sons with African features

What I don't get about all this strife is that when it comes to Egypt and North Africans there is never a middle term like "colored" used ...always only _"Dey wazz Black"_ or _"Dey wazz White"_ ...it's wearisome to the soul. I am a mixed person and cannot deny that I am a mixed person - A RACE IN MY OWN RIGHT! I am neither Black nor White! Both Blacks and Whites hate to acknowledge mixed people ...and that is why mixed people teach both extremes a thing or two about LIBERTY!
