Poor Belle, the writers ALWAYS screw her over. They promoted her to regular cast member, but she gets.. one centric episode a season? Except season three. Or season six. She just looks things up in books or babysits the kids the heroes could care less about. She's been kidnapped, shot, lost her memory, lied to and tricked by Rumple again and again, had her son stolen, and in the Wish Realm she starved to death! WHY do the writers hate Belle so much?!

Am I the only one here who LOVES RumBelle AND Killian? I loved them then and i love them now too What I mean is I love Killian and CaptainSwan. Season two Killian and CaptainSwan, season three Killian and CaptainSwan, season four Killian and CaptainSwan, season five Killian and CaptainSwan(OMG) and of course season six Killian and CaptainSwan. When hook makes himself a target, I see exactly why he does it. Rumple only has a magic advantage, and he'd be dead in a second if he was normal. Hook sees he's a coward that only relies on his magic, because as you recall, hook almost killed rumple with the hook multiple times. He's trying to make everyone believe the same thing. Hook knows that rumple wants to make himself look good by killing hook, thus making him evil again, and belle would leave him in that circumstance. Hook flat out wants revenge, but if he gets killed in the process, he's okay with it, because rumple will look like more of a coward.

Ah, back when this show was actually good … after Season 3A it completely lost its magic because Neal - Rumple’s core motivation, Emma’s original true love, Henry’s father - was killed off just to replace him with Hook whose redemption came out of nowhere just to make him into Emma’s new love interest even though he was always miles below her standards.

I don't see Hook going after Belle again. In his original plan he used her as a decoy to get the shawl, but he wasn't really trying to kill her. Belle ended up with a gun in her face because she tried to steal the shawl back. Even then Hook did not pull the trigger, despite having plenty of opportunity to do so. He only shoots her to push her over the line. I think that is all his sense of honor will allow him to do. He might even one day save her life to square his debt to her.

I don't get why Hook is getting so much hate for the way he treats Rumple. Rumple KILLED the love of his life. Of course he's pissed off. Plus Rumple is a dick anyway, though I do love him. This scene I can admit though Hook was being a dick, because he was hurting Belle, not Rumple. If it was Rumple who he hurt then I wouldn't be angry with him though. And honestly I don't ship Rumbelle. I did up until season 5 where Rumple intentionally becomes the dark one again, not learning a thing from his previous experiences, showing that he really is the Dark One, not just the thing but as a person as well.

I think Hook actually wants Rumple to kill him. He has plenty of time to take a second shot, this time at Rumple or to try and run, but instead he's just making himself a huge target. I don't think he ever intended to survive his revenge. He might actually be mad when Dr. Whale saves his life. I'm looking forward to his conversation with Emma when he wakes up. You just know he'll be handcuffed to the hospital bed.

Now that I think about it, I think Hook owed Belle a favour because she saved his life when Hook was savagely being beaten by Rumple on his own ship. If he wanted to, he could have pulled that trigger multiple times and literally emptied that gun thus killing Belle. Hook is interested in hurting Rumple, not killing Belle. Although, now they're square, I think he will do everything he can to kill her.

And so comes the end to character development for Belle in OUAT. After this Belle is not the same at all, in fact I have a hard time recognise her character from season 3 to 6. She's so badly written in season 4 and 5 and ok in season 6 I guess, but other than that her giving birth to Gideon was her big focus after this. I really wish they would have kept her early season 2 personality instead of the one post-Lacey. Belle wouldn't be that dumb to let Rumple abuse and lie to her so much. And the fact that they end up together after their troubled relationship, feels wrong.

I gotta agree with you on that. Like, I like the idea behind Rumpel and Belle, but Belle is just WAY too young for Rumpel. Like, she is old enough to be his freaking daughter. And I just think she's too much of a goody-goody for my liking. Like, I think Rumpel needs someone who's going to compliment him like maybe The Snow Queen (they are so flirty around each other and they don't even realize it. I actually would've like Rumpel and Zelena as a couple (as much as that is crazy). But, Rumpel and Belle?
