It will most likely be Billy. Him and Kim seemed to be co-Second in Command once Jason, Zach and Trini left. And with Kim not appearing he's the most logical one.

Back in seasons one and two, Zack I always felt was second in command. After Zack left, Billy took that role. Either way, I’d be satisfied with either of them!!

Billy does make the most sense. But I also feel like Adam could do a good job as well. We have seen him come back and mentor a ranger. Again as as some what leader to the best ranger team up ever.

Billy can fill the position of leader, mentor and brains in this team. He has the most experience as a Ranger out of anyone in that group. This is a no brainer.

Billy is my front runner for leading. He has the most experience, it will show incredible growth and be a nice bit to his arc. I don’t expect Jason or Tommy for a bunch of reasons both obvious and not. however, i always felt that the #2 in MMPR S1 before Tommy took over would be Zach. And i choose him for his reluctant ability but ability none the less to fill the void while Jason was trapped in the dark dimension with Evil Green Ranger/Goldar from Green With Evil

I feel like Adam would make a great mentor type character. He's been several rangers, and he's stepped up to leadership / mentorship roles before. They probably won't go that way, but he definitely has the chops to do it.

I was also thinking Adam. I could easily see them teeing him up as a kind of replacement for the role Tommy had. (Not the "face of Power Rangers" type, but the guy keeping an eye on all the Ranger teams behind the scenes.) Also, not saying this due to JDF's death (I doubt that had much, if any, impact on the plot of this special), but due to JDF making clear he didn't have a lot of interest in returning to Power Rangers. Also, even if they don't, the fact he's part of SPA itself also makes it make a fair bit of sense, assuming he's in the upper ranks of it. (Which I guess we don't actually know.)

I liked TJ & feel he was cheated out of his leadership role when he was made the blue ranger so that Andros could take over as red. But Billy's filled the mentor role before, so it only makes sense that he'd do it again (esp. now that he's older & wiser). And from what I'm seeing of Zack in those clips, it looks like he'd be a good field commander. I could see them playing off of each other, like they did w/ Jason & Tommy a few times, as "co-leaders", except it'd be better (because the rangers are always asking Billy's take on things, since he's "the team brain" & Zack's as quick to implement a plan as he is quick on his feet).

Hey there Sixth Ranger just wanted to say thank you for this new video dealing with who will be the mentor to the 30th anniversary special. I really don't think that this team really does need one, just because it is a team of veteran Rangers. However, I do think that Adam will become the leader of this group of veteran Rangers, just because he has lead a team of former rangers before, but I also think that he would be looking for advice or tech support from his fellow team members and Billy. Whatever happens in this special that is coming out. I can certainly say that I am excited and looking forward to seeing it. Thanks again for this great video. Looks like Billy will be leading the team, but Zach would make the most sense to me. He was always Jason’s second in command, even when Tommy was around. Heck, Zach led the team to their first victory against the Green Ranger while Jason was trapped in Goldar’s prison. Zach makes the most sense to lead since he’s done it before in Jason and Tommy’s absence, but it looks like the writers are going with Billy based on the promo shots releases.

I think Billy or Zack makes the most sense, given that they're the only two original rangers. Billy was never best the fighter among the Rangers, so I could see an argument being made that it'll be Zack. I think whoever the Yellow & Green rangers end up being could also effect which of them is chosen as their leader.

My immediate thoughts go to Adam and Aisha co-mentoring the team. Richard Horvitz is also confirmed to be returning for the special, most probably voicing Alpha 5 again, and I honestly feel that Alpha has been through enough throughout the years that he would be able to step up and mentor the team.

Leo Corbett from Lost Galaxy , Carter Grayson from Lightspeed Rescue , Cole Evans from Wild Force and Tyler from Dino charge are all good candidates for a mentor/leader. Also Mike Corbett the former second Magna Defender and Leo's older brother has some definite leadership potential as well.

I'm not sure who will be the mentor but i guess the role of adviser/mentor will be Billy. With Zack maybe as leader? For me , while all of the rangers a great in their own right. Because Rita is making a comeback, I would like to see someone from her team helping out the rangers, kind of get inside her head. Zordan was Great with Rita because they knew each other Zordan knew how Rita thinks and built strategies around that. So seeing someone like maybe Goldar or Scorpina or just like in soul of the dragon Finster, helping out the rangers bring her down , would be incredible.

I think the KZbin Channel ‘Mighty Morphn Power Rangers Theory’ I think that’s his channel name? Had Recently Uploaded a video explaining why it be a Bad idea for Zordon to come back. My two favourite explanation of his was. Number one it would suggest his tube was some kind Good Energy Nuke. And second would be his sacrifice was just to balance the Morphn Grid which also explains why we’ve constantly been getting Villains Since and along with it new Power Rangers Teams. Secondly I really don’t think these specific Power Rangers need a Mentor as they are already experienced. For me Personally Only New Inexperienced Power Rangers and Power Rangers Team need a Mentor.

TJ mentoring Veterans that came before him makes no sense. The only reason Zack couldn’t display a lot of leadership is because Jason and Tommy were there so he didn’t have too. The most logical one would be Zack since he was second in command and he was closer to Tommy and Jason. Billy should mentor the team, Zack should be the new leader.

You know what would be interesting. In Power Rangers in Space, Zedd and Rita got turned into good people at the end. Well, what if in a power ranger season, what if the mentor was Zedd but the good version of him. When he became good, he decided to make things right by making his own power rangers team. Now I know that the actor that did Zedd's voice sadly passed on but I'm sure that they could get another actor to play him. It would be so cool to see that in a season.

Honestly I figure the mentor/commander is only for teams who don’t have much experience or apart of a command structure, though I prefer a commander who can fill a mentor role than a straight up mentor. Like Doggy Cruger or a similar type of commander would be reasonable like they were working apart of the greater force.(Ironically I was thinking the same as you because I typed that before you said the Current Space Patrol Sumpreme commander)
