The critical factor with the Mavs has been the offensive players to defensive players ratio. Where we've gotten away with 3:2 (O:D) to this point, with lineups involving Kyrie, Hardaway, and Hardy at the same time e.g., that WON'T work against Boston. I would sooner see Luka and Kyrie taking turns, even, than too many offensive heavy payers that may or may not recover and close out on Celtics' sharpshooters: Shut 'em, down and Wear 'em out, I say. Be the last one's standing.

I think the honest answer is that Luka and Kyrie arent as bad defenders as Celtics fans/haters make them out to be, but they aren’t as good as Mavericks fans make them out to be. Luka’s defensive rating this post season has been 110.3, Tatums has been 109.4. Jaylens has been 111, Kyrie’s has been 109.8. Simple Average between the two are 110.05 for Dallas and 110.4 for Boston (worse). Luka is leading the post season in steals. So, as far as the numbers go, if Tatum and Brown are good defenders this post season (against some terrible teams, health considered), so are Luka and Kyrie.

Jrue Holiday is known for getting cold on offense in the playoffs, he might be one of the guys that shrinks against the Mavs, just like it happened to OKC and the Wolves, guys that played great in the previous series, but kind of disappeared against the Mavs. I feel like Tatum and Brown might have a couple of bad shooting nights or worst, nights that they fall in love with jumpers and don't attack the rim liek they should. Al Halford will get Luka fired up.

A part of me wished that OKC had made the Finals so we could see the Battle of Most Delusionally Arrogant Hosts! 😂 I love how the Mavs can beat 3 50-win teams, which included the #1 seed in the west that had a top-5 Offense & Defense, and a team that had the NBA's #1 Defense who just beat the defending champs, ALL without needing to go to a Game 7...
