This is the most outstanding performance of this beautiful song, I love it so much. Thank you for your reaction. Brian wrote this song about a girl in one of his college classes that he wanted to date but he was too shy to approach her. By the time he did, she was already with someone else, so he missed his opportunity. He did finally meet up with her many years later when both were married but they became friends. So there was a happy ending.
