I mean, _you_ might wish these ideas had made it to screen. The Doctor manipulating his perfect companion into existence is all the levels of creepy and inappropriate! I'd expect it of The Rani, but never The Doctor. That the idea was ever courted as seriously as it was is concerning. I'm greatly reassured that it never saw the light of day.

2 stories missed from the list are Masters of Luxor, written by Anthony Coburn which would have been the second Foctor Who story instead of The Daleks, so would have changed the shape of Foctor Who from the very beginning, and the Dark Dimension which was going to be a straight to video multidoctor special for the 30th anniversary. This was dropped in favour of the woeful Dimensions in Time.

Another Doctor Who movie idea that was mooted was Doctor Who and The Krikkitmen, by Douglas Adams. It ended up becoming the plot of one of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books with Slartibartfast occupying the role The Doctor had, with Trillian effectively as the companion

I love the episode ‘Midnight’, such a masterpiece of family friendly horror…but i also would like to see ‘Century House’ unshelved and taped. With David and Catherine both back in the picture at the moment and at Russel’s disposal, now would be a GREAT TIME to do so 😮…but really any Doctor and his or her Companion would work in this Plot, it sounds INTERESTING, and potentially really funny. I can just see it now… Donna is watching ‘Most Haunted’ on Halloween night, her FAVORITE SHOW, and shes been waiting for WEEKS for this live special. Suddenly, the investigators on the show hear something on the floor above…a familiar whiring sound. 😏 ‘No…NO!’ Donna gasps. ‘What in BLAZUS IS THAT?’ The lead investigor shouts, rushing up the stairs with the rest of the crew on his heels. ‘HE BETTER NOT.’ Donna grumbles. The investigators burst into the room to find the Doctor inspecting the room, his TARDIS parked in the corner. The crew stares at him confused ‘OH!’ The Doctor beams. ‘ELLO, Hope im not interrupting anything.’ ‘DOCTOOOOOORRR!’ Donna shreiks. Opening credits role. 😂

you might not have to change much of Highlander tbf. You could even have a plot twist where the Highlander mythology is a lie created by the Time Lords, like the Timeless Children being hidden in the Matrix.

Did Big Finish recycle the "Century House" ghost story into that ghost hunting audio story for the first entry in their 10th Doctor (w/Donna) Volume 3 set? Sure sounds like they did: *3.1 No Place by James Goss* It's ‘Haunted Makeovers!’ The home improvement show with a spooky twist. The Noble family are hoping to cast out a few spirits along with the old bathroom suite. Presenter Justin joins Donna, Wilf, Sylvia and the Doctor for the latest edition of his reality TV series. Of course, Justin knows that any supernatural phenomena can be faked. Ghosts can't possibly be real. Can they..?

That's what I noticed too. Terror of the Autons (the final outing of the Autons in the Classic Era) was in 1971, whilst Yellow Fever and How to Cure it, had it been made, would have aired in 1985/1986. That's only a gap of 14/15 years rather than 20.

Great video, I know there have been several chances to make Doctor Who spin-off's that unfortunately haven't got past the drafting stage. And I think Doctor Who spin-off's are a great way to see more Doctor Who media on TV with taking time from the main show.
