As a last minute meal it was a good use of on hand ingredients but the only thing similar to jambalaya in this was the proteins. No roux, no okra, no filè and jambalaya is not soupy, it’s actually more of a paella. Gumbo is closer to what you made. I’m sure it tasted good though.

For richer flavor, I like to caramelized the mirepoix when making soups; onions first, and celery last. Fire roasted tomatoes provide deeper flavor, which balances the herbs. You can weigh sticky, messy, or greasy things like coconut oil so you don’t have to struggle with or wash a measuring cup. You could scoop your filling for the egg cups into the molds with a 1/3 or 1/2 cup measuring cup. It would be easier and neater. I don’t like dealing with raw chicken. I isolate and wash anything it touched using paper towels, and then pour a pot of boiling water over the sink and cutting board. Beautiful video. I hadn’t watched it in its entirety until now. I reduce the amount of liquid in soups so it takes less freezer space, and freeze servings flat in ziplock slider bags. I may have to treat myself to the Souper Cubes and a Food Saver. It feels like an extravagance to me, but it would be a lot easier, and it’s for our health.

I know you don’t like to put cut onion in your refrigerator. I slice and cook it before storing. Yummy on sandwiches, salads, on the side with many meals, or just eaten while standing over the sink. 😋

Hi Randi, I enjoy watching your videos and listening to the music being played. I really enjoy the meal prep. I have never gotten into the habit of doing it before, but you are inspiring me. Your cleaning videos motivate me and give me more ideas to use in my own cleaning routine. I have a request. You may already have a video with this, but I haven't seen it yet. I am cleaning the windows and preparing to get new windows installed. I have the windows that are supposed to be so easy to clean, but did I keep up with it? Absolutely not. I have furniture in front of the windows, and I just do not take the time to clean them as I should. I have a ranch style house, so I can spray the windows on the outside with the water hose and wipe them down. The inside windows I am not as dedicated at cleaning. I need to get into a better routine before the new windows are installed. Please help motivate me! =)
@27foxplace Жыл бұрын
Hi Shamara! I try to include the interior windows when I'm cleaning in that zone. I only have one or two windows to clean every two months. But you might do less often. Just a damp microfiber to clean and dry microfiber to dry the glass. Once a year..ish we clean the outside, screens and tracks.

..Just saw your Channel come up ,so I'm watching ... the Pumpkin muffins look good, I would definitely make those.... is there a substitute for the Coconut Oil ( if out of it at present). I do store a small amount of onion, chopped in a Mason Jar, I put Press n Seal on the top before adding the lid, and that helps. I don't chop the entire onion, only about half. I also noticed your Mayonnaise( or whatever that is in large jarc) is stored on the Refrigerator door... it's not cold enough there for Mayonnaise... pickles, mustard,Worcestershire , etc are all fine stored on the door area,...but not Milk, Mayonnaise, cheeses, Eggs, etc. Just a suggestion. 🙂
