I have a whole home surge protector and somehow when we had a lightning strike. My AC still went out and they had to replace a board, that board and install cost about a grand to do on a brand new AC unit.

Very interesting to see a product that covers lightning damage. I used to work in the consumer side of this industry. Any surge protector you are buying at retail won't cover lightning because no product can withstand what lightning will throw at it. I'd be curious to see what my engineer friends think about how this works... I'll let you know if I hear anything back - they have decades of experience in the industry, designing units, and looking at units that have been "struck".

The new flex is garbage. They had a good thing going and destroyed their reputation with that junk flex. They need to junk that and go back to the original two offering they had that WORKED!!
