Does it calculate the like time to make a right and then a U. But if one or more other cars are stuck behind you, that should be factored in. Maybe give it a selfish/considerate slider and let the driver decide.

IMO the driver behind was just being a jerk and should be ignored.

@thetruth8567 there's a reason why we subscribe mate, we're getting for free but they are getting paid, atleast they should use us by giving the right content, they shouldn't post anything thinking we're dumb enough to consume just like apple launching the same phone every year knowing you're dumb enough to buy. Someone has to call out this nonsense, people should put effort into making content, he knows he has active fans who subscribe to him waiting him to drop an exciting content and he'll post a soundless video for what?? Better don't post at all, this isn't tiktok, who does he think we are?? Everyday I search for fsd v13 videos and he's everywhere but no sound on his videos, it's really frustrating and I believe I'm not alone who feels frustrated by this, he should show us more respect by putting in more effort into giving us solid content as best as he can.

For that really tough left turn early on, I wonder if the Telsa AI will program in an abort for a maneuver that’s too difficult like this one. Would be safer and easier to make a right, and then figure it out from there.

In the case of those really busy left turns, it would be nice if an option comes up for fsd to take a right turn then re-route. Lots of those kind of left turns in LA. Also, please do v13 topanga canyon run🎉🎉

Today is Dec 12. Thanks to Omar, I'm driving a new Model Y. After listening to Omar on Spaces, where he mentioned his GF qualified to purchase, or lease a new Tesla, even with low income, I went to local showroom to see what I could do. My income is under $35k. Deals made before Dec 15 also get 3 months of FSD. & special connectivity (usually $10/mo). And I now have my own "Referral Code". If you aren't driving/riding a Tesla now... Get 'er Dun!

15:30 It was 12.4, not 12.5, which had that smoothness issue. Source: Elon tweet, July 1st, "Part of the issue was too much training on interventions and not enough on normal driving"

Looking forward to getting v13, that was really impressive. I have not had as good a success with FSD. I do love it, but I have to intervene way more often than most KZbin FSD drives. I'm at 12.5.6.4, on my HW4 MYLR. Biggest issues I have is that FSD does not yet recognized certain situations or appropriateness. Like, it always continues to power a down hill drive knowing it has to stop at a stop sign or light. It typically stays at speed limit or a little hotter right up to the last moment and then comes to a complete stop. This causes two issues, first it loses the ability to regen as much as it should and it is harder on the mechanical brakes as they must be engaged as regen braking was started too late and speed is too high. This also must scare the living crap out of the car in front of me. Seeing a car coming up on you from the rear with full speed until the last minute has got to get the heart rate up. I know it does for me with my right foot hovering over the brake pedal. The second issue is both a lack of awareness and a deficient mapping system. I have one intersection where there are two lanes in each direction, the left lane being a left turn only. When I am going into town FSD always stays in the left turn only lane and shoots straight across the intersection directly into the oncoming left-turn only lane for the opposite direction of travel. I always intervene if there are any cars around, but if not I allow it to make the mistake, then once across the intersection the car jerks right to get into the correct single lane of travel into town. Yet coming out of town with the same intersection it never makes that mistake. Lastly, and this seems to be related to the most recent update, it stops at yellow blinking light more frequently now, a bit of a regression. FSD has always depicted the yellow blinking lights as red blinking lights. But for a while there is just went through them without any rapid/overreaction deceleration. All that said though, I love FSD and the amazing improvements. This is just a reminder that keeping your hands near or on the wheel, and foot ready to hit the brake or accelerator should remain routine for most of us. Obviously, the early testers have way more experience at driving with FSD than we do. And for whatever reason, some areas of the country give FSD issues than others.

That guy honking at the unprotected left was an impatient prick. FSD basically took the first opportunity, anything else got blocked by the guy turning left in front of you. You couldn't pull up to let him by on the right without blocking the road.

"in v12 the modes only apply to highway not city streets" I f*ckin told you! xD I was the very first person to say that shit about v12 early this year and you initially disagreed with me on X about it. I argued that the differences people were perceiving between the driving modes was plain and simple confirmation bias. I was right. it was obvious when the driving modes disappeared when cybertruck first released with the end to end model on the highway. why did it disappear with the new end to end highway stack? because it only applied to the heuristic highway stack xD otherwise it would have been there still controlling v12 on city streets (but it NEVER had) people just assumed it did for MONTHS. ps i love you im a subscriber on X

One day that junction at 5:32 may become a 'no left hand turn'... In this instance a human driver might have been a little more assertive, perhaps? But it is [thank God] a very rare occurrence that one must cross a busy multi-lane highway like this, without a box junction. eg Danvers street into Cheyne walk in London. Oh, btw a very good OECD webinar on AI et al is taking place at the moment, if anyone is interested. Finishes tomorrow. Anyway, Horace Silver's - 'Song for my father' is now on the wireless :) . ALL GOOD!! #SafeTravels!
