Toyotas are meant to run red coolant. Ive had a friend destroy his hilux heater core from running the wrong coolant. Might be worth checking. Good to see it running though, all the best (Y)

I would start with it has been absolutely fantastic an a pleasure to be able to come along for the journey from the very beginning of these episodes to this one an all the others in between I have personally loved every second of watching all of these episodes 2 great blokes an 2 great mates who have had a ball doing the over hall on a 79series that's is one hell of rig an most certainly one that is very capable in every way shape and form . Myself I have learned heaps by watching these episodes which have been very helpful and funny . I can't wait until I get my touring rig down to whole sale automatics for very much needed and welcome upgrades to be done . I thank you for sharing all of these with us and giving us the opportunity to step inside the life of wholesale automatics both in the workplace and the land I can't wait to see what's next . I'm certainly enjoying these keep them coming so we can keep watching thank you

Well done boys great to see the old 79 fire up.. whilst I love my 200 modern 4wd have become so much more complex imagine trying pull a start motor on the track. I replaced a blown cylinder gasket on an old landing on Double Island Point one cold winters evening all though at time one used some naughty words but it was doable, even though using wet beach sand trying to get grease off...couldn't contaminate the bait. Cheers boys

Thinking about the snorkel. Why not turn it to the rear? If it's suction, one could avoid sucking in water and grime simply by turning it. It's not a scramjet missile for heaven's sake. Great upload, btw...

It always seems to happen when you pull a motor down if not put back together soon the parts breed and there is always some leftover.

Any more news on the 79? Bring the truck to Queensland, reregister it, fit portal axles here. Problem solved.

Sounds sweet guys. But is it me or is that the wrong coolant for a Toyota? I'm pretty sure Toyota's should be using HOAT type (pink coolant) not the old school green IAT coolant.

Hey rocket I've got a question. What are your thoughts on what I believe they call e-shifters, like in the new ranger. Is something like that gonna be bush proof/mud proof/ water crossing proof or is it abit on the iffy side. Thanks legend
@andrewearl30392 жыл бұрын
Great work now i cant wait to see what goes on the back of it. The question i have for the q&a is towing. With manual you shouldnt tow in 5th or 6th gear as this is weaker gears. Is this the same for autos or is it more to do with keeping the trans running cool as possible?
@zacwinch32182 жыл бұрын
Ok you want questions? probably won't get answered cause it's not current or a money maker like a new 79 with an auto, do you make an auto for a 105 series that's feasible money wise and close to the fuel efficiency of a manual

Hey Lads, just wondering when you believe the highly inflated prices for the second hand car market industry will die down? Definitely an important one for young lads like myself trying to get some skin in the game. Also what do you believe are the best value second hand for wheel drives under 20k? A price tag that most people can relate to without having the money to buy 100 grand rigs, Cheers.
@WholesaleAutomatics2 жыл бұрын
I believe the second hand market will stay the same for quite some time. 80 series 1FZ is my pick for budget 4X4.

I actually had 5 cameras running, 4 mounted and 1 mobile for this shoot then I chose the best angle to capture Rod's good side. I try hard to stay out of shot but doesn't always work and yes I could be replaced with a tripod, but you would miss out on too much with only 1 angle!! Thanks for the feedback though - Cheers Cameraman Craig.
