Would have to agree, one of the best 70 series I have seen. To answer your question we are running the ARB links system in our troopy which controls air bag pressure, tire pressure and gives you ultimate control of your 12 volt accessories, it would make a great addition to this truck. Good video fellas, certainly a well equipped vehicle ,and from the in car camera it looked at ease driving the streets. If only the 79 was slightly wider, imagine the room inside ,but then I suppose it would be just a 300 series. How does something like this compare with the American trucks like Ram TRX and the Ford Raptor or even the F350 . Great work ,and thanks to the owner for letting it be shared .

Great video Rocket have been following you for years mate youre doing a fantastic job. One thing, as much as the Iridium Go is advertised so you can use internet out in the bush, it unfortunately doesnt really work that way. Its really for txt and phone calls only. Connection is restricted to 2.4kbps which means loading a simple website could take anywhere from 2-5 hours. Its essentially is a SAT phone but functionality is controlled from your phone using a direct WiFi connection to the Iridium Go device from your phone via a specific app to make/receive phone calls/texts rather than having a physical handheld sat phone. If you did want internet in the wilderness your best bet would be Starlink for RV which has just been released (as long as you are in an open area no trees)! 🙂

I have been a subscriber for awhile and I really enjoy your content, the bonfire at the farm was awesome! But I have to question the Australian authorities. As long as you have a qualified shop doing the work, why can't you have portal axles and some other modifications installed after the vehicle is registered?
@WholesaleAutomatics2 жыл бұрын
Stupidity is the correct answer. If the changes are made before first registered a company can apply to become a second stage manufacture and if successful make application to make very specific modifications to the vehicle under federal law. This becomes part of the vehicles second stage manufacturing standards. However once registered then any changes made after first registration need to be recognized by the state that the vehicle is currently registered in. This is where it gets interesting as the state and federal bodies don't necessarily share the same views or standards and the state has the right to deny requests for the exact same upgrade. Yes, I know we live in the great land of government stupidity. I'm sure someone else might have more information to share on this but this is my very basic overview of the situation.
@contributor72192 жыл бұрын
@@WholesaleAutomatics The lack of consistency is frustrating and although we now have a standardised system across heavy vehicles, and a national register of heavy vehicle modifications, the same has not yet happened for light duty vehicles. We do need a national register for light duty vehicles, as well as a mechanism for approved workshops to undertake work and for someone in that workshop to sign off on that work as an authorised representative in the same way second state manufacturers can. Prior to retiring a good part of my role was to provide engineering evidence to our courts when things didn't go well in certain circumstances. Sadly, not all workshops are created equal and although your outfit and others like it do top quality work, I have had to give evidence in many cases where the work in question was, at best, poor - at worst, negligent to the point of causing serious injury or death. I love your work and fully support the introduction of some sort of mechanism to authorise workshops like yours to undertake approved modifications, but conversely there has to be a limit to stop 'backyard cowboys' from doing dangerous knucklehead stuff. I've seen too much evidence (as late as the last seven days) of the cowboy element being well and truly amongst us - even going so far as to showcase illegal modifications on KZbin. One well-known 4WD KZbinr has even commented about going down the path they did, then highlighting it online. It isn't just me that pays attention to it. Until this sort of stuff is nipped in the bud, it's really hard to get traction for a national register for light duty vehicles. It's the usual story, a few idiots ruin it for everyone else.

They work brilliantly together Jason, we hear this at least once every couple of weeks.

You should have mentioned that the Iridium Satellite internet is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE to use. No way in hell would you allow a whole camp of people to use it, especially for FB or YT. The better option is the Starlink system. I use Iridium phones for emergency and even just the phone calls are expensive.

Yes you are correct but this new Star link program is brilliant. Not quite there for northern States but will be by this time next year. www.starlink.com/rv
