I adore Whoopi. This is so relevant! People get surprised when she is herself..hello...she has always spoken her mind and been amazing!

kwilcox1126 she was (and is) fantastic. Her one woman show on Broadway with all those fantastic characters is still my favorite stand up to this day.

Beautifully put, that's always been a huge part of her appeal: phenomenal storytelling. The fact that she has leveraged her talent and platforms to do good in the world, while speaking her mind without filters, being roll on the floor hilarious and drop-dead gorgeous to boot only makes her even more amazing. Also why she's STILL relevant. Big respect, Whoopi! 🙌

I think _this_ must've been the most watched _Comic Relief_ of all the years because of what went down the night of the _Friars Club roast._ Everyone including me tuned in that night to see _what_ was Whoopi gonna say.

I want to see the results of Whoopi and Roseanne having a reasonable, creative discussion about such things. Hopefully, the result would be a big, beautiful, comic stage show.

@PRNeneChulo If memory serves Montel walked out of the Friar's Roast where Ted Danson showed up in blackface to roast his then girlfriend, Whoopi. Seems he was offended by Danson's attire and his liberal use of the n-word. Whoopi thought it was hilarious. Hope that helps a bit.

@PRNeneChulo Whoopi was referring to some criticism that a talk show opportunist named Montell Williams had of her. I don't know exactly what he said about her, but I know they had had issues for quite some time. Hope that helps!

triciakitty I think it's because these comments are old and were submitted using the old comment system. So they can be viewed but you can not answer to it directly (you have to mention the person in a new comment)

It seems she started out in comedy mocking white girls and now in 2018 has come full circle with her hateful words and actions on television! smh@this has been! Her use of vulgarity and profanity does not equal her to Richard Pryor however~
