The easiest way to find any angle. Take 180 and divide it by the number of pieces. 180÷8 = 22.50. 180 divided by 6 = 30. 180÷7 = 2 2.7. Just like a triangle 180÷3 = 60 square 180÷4 = 45 pentagon 180÷5 = 36. That’s the easiest way I’ve found. I thought I’d share this with you buddy. Thanks for your videos.
@fdort3971Ай бұрын
Ummm...I'm trying to understand but I suck at math. Why 180 not 360?
@WhosTheVossАй бұрын
Thanks buddy :)
@janetschaible737Ай бұрын
@@fdort3971 You can use 360, but then you have to divide the answer by 2 for each cut in the angle. Starting with 180 eliminates that step. To visualize this think of a picture frame with 4 corners. Each corner is 90 degrees, but there are 2 pieces coming together at 45 to make that angle. (360/4=90) /2=45 or 180/4=45
@kileykileyАй бұрын
@@janetschaible737 It's 360. If you cut a pizza in half the two sides are straight lines, which is 180 degrees, 4 pieces they will each have a 90 degree corner, so 8 would be 45, etc

@WhosTheVoss thanks for the lesson and humour. Since you have a drill and left over beading string...and it's technically supposed to be a tree...grab some beads! You can either add a single bead to the top (you might need to put a slight divot over the existing hole to make them sit correctly), or go halfway down to add multiple beads. When they close up, in theory they will hang down like garlands. Another option is drill a divot on top of each end and simply glue beads in for a Christmas ball effect. Tying elastic string can be tricky. I make costume jewellery besides woodworking...Jill of multiple trades...lol. I find it helpful if you tie the knot around a thin metal stick like a skewer. It allows you to slide it up or down depending on the project. Once you have it where you want it, tighten the string, then slip the skewer out. Btw...we "yell" about safety because we care about you...

Instead of extra long sticks for short pieces, cut them to the length of two trivet leafs plus a little extra. This would give you two leafs per stick. Now use your router to round off the edges of the long stick used for the two small pieces before cutting them, you will cut your sanding time dramatically. Now cut the trivet leafs to length. Now sand away. Hope this helps. ✅👍✅👍✅
