Thank you so much. I do feel stupid. I have seen that label a thousand times and still never noticed it. I have played with these buttons for years and got no where, again not smart Thanks so much for taking the time to make that video it really helped me tremendously.

Thanks for the demo. This brand is not intuitive with their control panel. Other brands are more straightforward with a "Time Defrost" setting that is easier to understand and program.

YES! I hate that I don't have just a time option on mine. When I need to defrost a bun for 30 seconds, it shouldn't be a big game of how to do that!

Instructions are usually as a percentage of power. Do you know what percent each of the 3 choices are?

The thing I need to defrost is .75 pounds but there is NO POSSIBLE OPTION to just put that in. It’s either .7 for a defrost time less than a minute or almost an hour with 7.5.

My defrost using these steps for one pound sets a time of 9:54 minutes. That is TOO long. On our other microwave it gives options for percentages. Which is nice if you want to defrost a variety of meats etc due to thickness.

Customers need to think twice before buying the Whirlpool microwave- wmh53521hz-5. When the light won’t shut off the only way to fix it is to buy a new motherboard, and they range in price from $156 to over $300 online plus tax and shipping. Also $150 for service call to install it. And it’s an inherent problem in this Whirlpool model. You can buy a new microwave for $450 or pay that much for repairs or buy an LED stick up under cabinet lights for $12 to $18 as a alternative solution.
