@@NotAGarage I miss those days in wrestling. I was at 1995 and 1996. The municipal auditorium was fun to watch wrestling in. I was also able to watch a lot of events at the Nashville Fairgrounds. I bet Starrcade 1999 was fun. Nothing like a live event. My favorite event was an ECW TV taping I went to in Nashville. Sandman got beer all over us.

This was one of my favorite wcw events all time. Lex luger is very underrated at times. This event showcases that, the reaction he gets after a great match with the giant was absolutely incredible

I disagree with these guys that the nWo were babyfaces and that nobody was gonna cheer against Hall and Nash. The reason a guy like DDP got over is because he was one of the few people to stand against Hall, Nash and the nWo. The fans were dying for WCW guys to get over on the nWo which is why when DDP, Luger, Sting or the Giant got wins over them the crowd went crazy. Making the nWo so dominant in the beginning helped get them over but also made WCW's wins that much more satisfying later on. That's why the nWo angle got so many guys over.

WCW over hyping these ridiculous matches was hilarious..... In what world was a Prime Roddy Piper an "Icon" or Main Eventer? Now he's washed up ... None of that storyline was remotely plausible, nobody was scared of a scrawny, broken down, washed up, over the hill Piper. 1997 Sting was in better shape.

The Faces of Fear vs. The Outsiders match was an example of WCW's poor management. No way in hell should the FOF been in a match with The Outsiders just too lose. THEY should have been the team ,of many, to oppose the nWo. Ya I know you all going to say "well they didn't have the mic skills". But that's where good booking and management come in. Bet Vince would have made them a top player if he had them.
