These cars are following the same price trajectory as the Turbo Buicks. Two production years (86-87) - (03-04) that were highly sought after, but the production numbers were much higher for the turbo buicks vs. the Terminator Cobras. 10-15 years ago everyone kept saying "oh, the prices are going to come down on them. don't overpay". Well, look what they sell for now. Rust buckets that need extensive work are $15k. A nice driver is $30k. Pristine cars are all north of $50k. If someone wants a Terminator, the best time to buy is now, because they are not going to come down in price. There's a reason you see S197 and S550 owners offering up their cars for them on even trades.

I 100% agree. There are so many examples of cars of the years that have taken this same path and are now quite expensive to get but there are some that are very steadfast on believing that the Cobra prices will come down. They are free to think that but they are going to end up paying more in the end. Sorry for the late reply my notifications were not working for a few days

I own a coupe and a convertible. Remember, ultimately we owners determine the price of these cars, don’t give them away for free, remember high prices keep them out of bad and undeserving hands, make sure your Cobra goes to a good home if you do ever decide to sell.

All good points My Friend. I purchased my DSG Coupe in 2009 for 24K Canadian which was probably about 18K USD and I think that was about the max that it was depreciated. Keep in mind that it had a 2.8KB mammoth kit and supporting mods done my Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords magazine within about 6-8 months of me purchasing the car. It did have about 70k miles on it at the time of my purchase however it had mostly only sen nice Californian days and was garage kept and still is. I still have it and currently has 88K miles. I would like to add a stockish Torch Red coupe to my garage at some point but I'm afraid with each passing year that dream is becoming more difficult to achieve with the rising prices. Did I see a Maine license plate? If so I live next door in New Brunswick, Canada. Cheers! Jared
