I bought some Ford performance gauges from the catalog back in 2005 my original plan was to buy dual gauge cluster housing but haven’t installed it yet 👍🏻

The only other thing I can think of that is very hard to find are the speedhut gauges with the SVT logo and background lights up green just like the oem cobra gauge cluster. I miss that from my TR coupe. But man I'd love to have a SOS gauge pod one day. I'm glad you found one!

The front bumpers you find on Ebay and other places for 150 bucks shipped are actually made in the factory molds so they are identical in quality. I've installed a few of them over the years and they fit perfectly. The rear bumpers are expensive because nobody is repopping them. Likely due to the licensing for the "COBRA" text on the back of it. As far as amber tails are concerned, I'm not sure why LMR hasn't started making those yet. It's literally a money tree for them. That would also drive the prices for the OEM ones down a little.

@@KenMileyJr I asked LMR about that and it has to do with the licensing from Ford, they want to they just can’t as of yet. I’ve seen those bumpers and people seem to have good luck with them so that’s one good alternative

Many great points. I'll add a couple of aftermarket parts that are very hard to find. First one would be Reichard Racing Idler set. It has been +15 years since I have seen a complete set for sale. And I bet if someone wants to sell their set, they'll list it for $800-$1,200 easily. Second would be the Dragon TB and elbow, more specifically for the VMP 2.3 blower. I've seen them pop up for sale for the eaton's from time to time but not the ones made for the VMP blower. Honorable mentions would be TF intercooler/rad tanks WITH the cobra cap removal tool included. And of course, a VMP 2.3 blower - though it's not very rare, but I do feel people are hording those lol

Pretty interesting video. Another reason that prices get shot up are you will have some guys that buy out all the good deals for both the Lightnings and Terminators, then turn around and sell for a profit. I like to call these guys the “SVT sharks” 🦈 I have two Terminator projects currently and between the two, I was able to find a decent replacement OEM hood for 250. It did need a little bodywork, but well worth the price. I also have that highly sought after Lunar gauge in perfect working condition and definitely don’t plan on selling it now that I know what they’re worth. Between the two platforms I’ve found a bunch of good deals on both OEM and aftermarket parts. You just have to be patient and beat all the sharks when the deals pop up lol

@@Lethal_Venom Yeah I was surprised the lunar boost guage with the vacuum reading was that rare. As for the Terminators, one of them I’m returning back to stock (it had about 7k in mods). I’ll then transfer the mods to my cheap Redfire project. I bought it with a slightly hurt motor (stuck lifter), but hoping it’s not as hurt as Chris Sullivan’s SB. I’m planning to record everything I do to the Redfire project so maybe it will gain some attention…we will see. Won’t be on this KZbin handle, but maybe I’ll get lucky and see you in one of my comments if I start to grow 😆

Personally, the are replacement parts available with good quality. If it was because of an accident the price has decreased anyway. As for the Amber 99-01 I prefer stock on 03-04. Ty

I’m finding that abs sensors for the IRS are getting very hard to come by. Anything Eaton swap related for the most part too. I also think the legendary m55 exhaust is near the top as well

Ambers are easily one of the most ridiculously over priced non-essential tail lights on the market. The 10th anniversary shift knobs and boots are rare and becoming a bit pricey too.

@@Lethal_Venom I had 2 original 10th Anniversary knobs. I kept one for myself because they feel great on my shifter and sold one to a fellow cobra lover who was down on his luck...getting ripped off by scammers. I wanted to keep both but I felt so bad for him that I sold him one for a little above what I paid just to please my conscience. I have 2 original regular Terminator knobs too and a few LMR copies that I repainted with high quality leather brush on paint to have a selection of several colors that all go well with my interior: light grey, white, red, and purple-chrome.
