On average there are many other people, that want you to be high value (I'm not saying they will help you get there), because you will be useful to them. On the other hand so many people are conditioned to think about themselves, as low value, that it is really hard for them to change- it's basically changing everything, even your family will treat you different. In the end I would say: The only person willing to put effort in making you high value is you! ;)

"Oppressively difficult to be high value" Definitely true. I became high value. And i did it with a crap ton of suffering. Dealing with massive failures, and persevering. Years of discipline, taking big chances, and mostly succeeding. I worked while others partied, and when everyone passed around blame or fled, i stepped up. Sometimes i was the only one between success and failure. I had to make the difference personally to make projects and events succeed. I never got promoted until everyone else failed, then i stepped up, after the others fled. Used to be ignored by women, and treated poorly by some men. Now i command respect, both personally and professionally. But it took me constantly self improving from the age of 15 to the age of 30. Just remember, high value is relative. But any improvement is worthwhile.

In fact, I think the idea that I was an electrical engineer may have helped me get a date with her in the first place. I’m not saying she’s a Golddigger, but she ain’t messing with a broke fella 😉. When I think about it, the craziness started during the grad school application process. An otherwise perfect girlfriend started bitching that I was studying too much for the entry exams. I feel like the dangers of value chasing should have been mentioned, especially considering "high value" is extremely relative. For someone who grew up with nothing acheiving 6 figs/yr could be considered a monumental achievement for them, while other guys are low millionaires and don't consider themselves worth shit and strive to be high millionaires/billionaires. Same for fitness. When I was young, I told myself if I could bench 250lbs I'd be the shit. Now much older, I can bench 275 and have simply moved the goal post to 300... While it is good to constantly strive to better yourself, know that "high value" is hyper relative and subjective and you should also strengthen your inner character to love yourself with the condition you are currently in.

I ended up in a VERY well paid, exciting, glamorous job travelling the world first class and staying in top hotels, all paid for by my employer. Dyslexia taught me to work hard and believe in myself. I stuck doggedly to my passion. But I didn't have the internet as a distraction until I was already killing it at 35. I'd love to know what you do. For many, many years I was crazily ambitious. I'd take every chance I found, stayed hours after I'd clocked out, spent my lunch break researching and learning new skills, and even put together a presentation for my bosses when our company was struggling, highlighting areas I thought we could move into and take advantage of using our ability to maneuver quickly since we were a smaller company. In every instance, my ambition was met with either apathy or outright squashed by managers who I'm pretty sure were threatened by my assertiveness. I was constantly told to stop standing out so much and stop trying so hard. No matter what I did, success eluded me while my far lazier colleagues thrived and were promoted. After being fired from yet another job I decided to stop trying so hard and just go where the universe takes me. That was 3 years ago and I've been out of work since. Now I cannot find a job or get my foot in any doors. You had everything working against you and succeeded, I had everything working in my favor and failed, I'd really like to know how you found success.

A couple of things to watch out for: 1. The superficial qualities that you might associate with "High Value" can be a huge distraction from doing anything that is actually high value. You really have to stop and think about each specific quality and figure out if it is important or not. In general you don't want to be a walking stereotype, even if that stereotype is associated with something you want. Admit that trying to figure exactly what to change can be just as hard as making the change. 2. Chances are you have some self loathing and consider your old self to be "Low Value" as such it tempting to assume the polar opposite is "High Value" and that you need to completely erase the old version of you. This self-distancing again means a lot of distractions, friends and family that would have supported your transition will oppose you instead, and you will ignore most of your existing potential, and in all likelihood the new you will just be fake anyway. You need to identify what is good about your current self and utilize those qualities in addition to developing others.

What an insight that complicated vs hard is! I've always wondered why I just love getting beat up, exhausted, cold and fucked up and have no problem dealing with that, but when it comes down to do a even a mildly complex thing, I just don't want to. I'm not an idiot, I just don't want to fill out forms. I always want 0 complexity and maximum hardship. It has left me a fucking wreck at times and I've always wondered why I can persist through almost inhuman shit, but don't want to have anything to do with things that involve other people or managing things to make it happen. Strong, disciplined, dedicated, willing to get out there.. After many setbacks both intellectual, physical and medical the guy became the only serviceman in US Military history to be a SEAL, do 3 hell weeks, get his Ranger tab, become a tactical air controller... He was so hardcore in the SEAL teams that he rubbed everyone the wrong way with his ludicrous PT Routines he imposed on everyone. So at the end of the day the only people who will truly stick to you when you're on a quest to become the best of the best ever are those that want the same thing for themselves and prefer having a sidekick with them. None of this is emotionally easy, it will test you to your fucking core but believe me... It's so worth it

QUESTION Hey Todd i have an idea for a video that may be of value to alot of young guys. I have a question on game at house parties specifically.Let me explain...although i understand that the fundamentals of attraction and being high value are generally the same across the board i feel the practical application may be a little different for this. spot. on. Every word is 110% true. My family on both sides grew up poor. My dad decided he was going to make something of himself and went into tech and he succeeded but he decided to leave his family behind (and me to) to pursue those dreams and succeed at becoming the first family millionaire. Spent it all then died lol. Not mad at him, he did his thing and his company survives without me. He thought I was a loser and didn't want me in his company /shrug. What gets me upset is that I wanted to become a high value guy too but everyone not only chastised me but tried to pull me back down. I was tired of the way life was because I too had the same skillset as my father, not just an ego. Able to network like no other and understand technology like no other as well as be able to talk to be and bring passion to the table and get everyone excited. What I did not expect was everyone in my family and all my friends not only NOT wanting me to become high value but taking active steps to sabotage the process to make sure I fell back down. Tugging on the rope and trying to break rocks while climbing the mountain to prove that its not possible. This was the one thing I wish I had known about. It would have made the process easier and I would have dropped them all in heartbeat and saved myself so much pain and heartache. Eventually all my friends and family left me alone and exiled me. At this point its just easier to climb to the top of the mountain and deal with the last of the challenges instead of going back down. For me I was done with the bs and just start googling for solutions on my computer after work everyday. Other people were successful and were not pyramid scheme artists so I could be too. Digging through the TONS of bad mentors was another challenge all its own. Took awhile to get calibrated and sift through all the snake oil salesmen to finally find what I knew was good material.

Value is relative..... certain people are more valuable to me than others are for different reasons. Striving to be high value is hard, like you said in your platform. As for high value, too many people are managers or striving to be in that delegation role. We do need more doers, and we need to encourage that. Original thought is also difficult (different difficulties to what you are getting at)

One of the things many people and coaches overlook, is how brain waves syncronize just being around someone. Everyone has probably heard that you are the 3-7 friends you hang around, but how many people today have the time to have 3-7 friends? Very few. Most people have co-workers, and co-workers are usually not friends, not real friends. My point here is, everyone, including dating coaches believe just having the radio on doesn't do anything, but IT MOST CERTAINLY DOES. Having a movie, the radio, or even Todd's videos on in the background while you work is sending those brainwave patterns, even if just thru audio out into space and into your mind. So watch Todd's videos everyday and vibe with his success and it'll move your brainwave vibrations up towards his level.
