Well Jesus did warn us about it. Also the verse about Jesus loving the Church... contradicts his actions, he literally lead people away from the Roman beliefs who created the Catholic Church, and denounced Synagoges... Jesus preached outside... If Jesus popped up this day and age, they'd call him the anti-Christ... Romans and Jewish had him killed, then spun it into a new religion to control the masses he tried to liberate. Matthew 23 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, 2 “The teachers (Pastors) of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses. 3 So practice and obey whatever they tell you, but don’t follow their example. For they don’t practice what they teach. 4 They crush people with unbearable religious demands and never lift a finger to ease the burden.5 “Everything they do is for show. On their arms they wear extra wide prayer boxes with Scripture verses inside, and they wear robes with extra long tassels. 6 And they love to sit at the head table at banquets and in the seats of honor in the synagogues. 7 They love to receive respectful greetings as they walk in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘Rabbi.’

I live in a traditional family and not all traditional husbands are controlling like this. I think controlling husbands use the traditional lifestyle to cover for their insecurities sometimes and trick the woman they're with with the lifestyle so she has no way out. It's fine to live life in gender roles as long as both people agree it's what's best for their family and both people are happy. I bet she wouldn't care about her traditional role if he wasn't such a jerk.

He reminds me of my ex and his mother. I helped my ex become an ordained minister, and he turned on me using the Bible to try and justify divorcing me. His mother was involved with a little store front "church" and would try to guilt me with her interpretation of the Bible. She had once been a pastors wife and I guess she couldn't stand not being the center of attention anymore. The comical thing is, my father-in-law was a retired Methodist minister, and God love him, he was the only person in this mess that ever accepted me for me, despite the fact I was/am Catholic. I never heard him try to use the Bible to make people feel guilty or as his own personal weapon against people. I have to wonder if he had lived if my marriage would have ended when it did. He passed away, and it was only a couple of years later that my ex and I divorced with him blaming me for everything and using the Bible to try and justify his actions. I feel sorry for any of his past, present or future followers! And, he wasn't a very good husband. Secretive, demeaning, sneaky and a fairly heavy drinker as time went by.

That was because of the evil that was taking place in the Synagogue a righteous indignation if you will . A follow of Christ should always stand against evil !! This Pastor needs help and admits he is failing those of you with out sin cast the first stone.

@@stanwatt1423 Not even drunk or on drugs would evil be a fitting description for a market in a building. This pastor is beyond help, he can not think for himself, he should join a eunuch monastery and spare us his idiocy, and especially spare that woman the life she is losing.

Women are NOT the weaker vessel lol. I'd like to see any man have the strength to bear children!! Not only that but if he has to feel the need to be in control and force her to be submissive, then HE is the weak one!! He is just afraid and insecure! An ex if mine also twisted up the wording regarding submission in the Bible to try to convince others that he should be in control. It is NOT ok. And God would never treat someone like that. A husband is supposed to live his wife as God loves the church. Manipulation and control is NOT loving!!!!
@tblasley17003 жыл бұрын
From the perspective of someone who was educated in the Bible for over 13 years but is no longer a Christian, I can definitely tell you that there's at least 10 verses that say specifically, "wives, submit yourselves unto your husbands." Although most of the specifics aren't important in Christianity which is what people like this guy get wrong. The few verses that say that your wife should submit herself to you are far less important in Christianity than the countless verses that talk about achieving salvation through Christ, which is the most important principle in the religion. As for verbally abusing your wife, the Bible strongly recommends against that.
