One of my viewers just notified me that Sarah Harry (the yoga teacher) passed in March of this year. I could not find the cause of death but there was an article saying that she died "after a period of illness." That's not super specific but it does rule out physical trauma from things like a car accident as a cause of death. A period of illness can mean a lot of things like type 2 diabetes or heart disease but because the cause of death was never revealed, my wild guess is that she died of COVID or something related to her obesity that would ruin the message she spread for years. I also could not find out how old Sarah was but she looked like she was between 35-40 in this video. The video on her was done 7 years ago, which means that she died in her 40s. That is a very untimely death and it's unfortunate that happened. Obesity is a major cause of heart disease, type 2 diabetes and, I believe, certain types of cancer. But don't quote me on that last one. It's also a significant percentage of the COVID deaths involving people who are not seniors. It is dangerous to be obese. Technically we don't have a confirmation on the cause of death but, personally, I think it's highly likely that it was due to the very thing she said was perfectly healthy. If that is how she died, then I am not here to dunk on her for that. Laughing or making fun of someone dying because you have different political beliefs is classless. However, the thing I want to point out here is that if we didn't have all of these grifters like the ironically named Dr. Bacon telling people that being fat is perfectly health and no one dies of obesity or obesity related causes, then Sarah might still be alive today. Evil people like Dr. Bacon duel people like Sarah and her delusion that being morbidly obese is healthy, which prevents them from recovering form their addiction. Overeating is an addiction. Imagine if you had doctors go on news outlets saying, "There's nothing wrong with heroin. It's the safest drug on the planet and it has very few side effects. Go ahead and do as much as you want." Now, that statement does include things that are true. Opiates are very safe and hold very few short/long term side effects. Unless you overdose. Somehow promoting things like that are seen as a high crime but actually, vastly more people die of obesity or obesity related causes than people die of overdosing on opiates. Why is it so criminal to inform people on the dangers of what people are doing? Honestly these people are so worried about their feelings that they would rather have someone close to them in their life die than offend someone's delicate sensibilities. There is nothing respectable about that.

What hes saying is the *addiction* is killing people. Not *JUST* the obesity. Did you listen to it? Addiction is addiction. Even if a morbidly obese person loses all of the weight if they didnt tackle the mental part, the addiction, they will literally go to another addiction. The mental part is the biggest slient killer in this. Also, horrible analogies...

@@joeynorris3978 wait, the addiction was the first trigger. In this case she's addicted to food, that made her fat and obese. As we all know, obesity is a sign of a non healthy body, so basically *if* she survive her obesity, then the addiction will do the rest, because obese people mainly dies from sleep apnea, cardiac arrest, kidney failure, hypertension, asthma, stroke, diabetes before addiction take the toll
@joeynorris3978
@joeynorris3978 3 жыл бұрын
@@auliahakim8561 an obese person who deals with food addiction can survive to a normal age. Only if the addiction or mental part is dealt with. We're not talking about over eating here. We're talking about the brain being addicted to the chemicals that are released in the brain. Any addict can overcome addiction it just takes a whole lot of work just like recovering from drugs. Any and every addiction can kill you btw. Not just food. Drugs causes problems with the heart. You can be a normal weight and die from heart complications because of drugs. Obesity isn't the only thing that can kill a person. It's the toll of what that substance does to your heart.

@@auliahakim8561 a morbidly obese person can lose the weight and lessen their health problems and live to a long age. But if their mental state isn't taken care of then they will either go back to their addiction or find a new one. Addiction is basically a coping method. It's a layer disease. It the physical manifestation of the mind. That can come about in different substances.

She once told me that she regretted not being able to give me a good dad and she knows that I'll makea great one some day. Now I'm an adult and I can say that my mother although forced into an unwanted situation, made the best of it and her ability to admit the faults in it and not attempt to glorify it has always been a great lesson for me

I was working as a funeral director and embalmer during the height of the pandemic, I had to change careers because I hurt my back lifting 500 lbers who always seemed to die on the second and third floor, not to get off topic. Out of the cases in which covid was the primary cause of death, and pre-existing and intrinsic factors played a direct role in who survived covid and who died from covid. Wanna guess what those factors were? Well it wasn't old people, it wasn't people with pre-existing disease or illness, it wasn't really young people...no they were all obese, whether they were 23, or 90, about 90% of covid deaths were people who were overweight or obese. Obviously older overweight people and overweight people with prior illnesses skyrocketes their chances of covid being fatal, but young people who were healthy in every way beside their weight were dying by the boatloads too

Fortunately in all the cases (he told me about) the fire was manageable enough to help the people get out. But if ever there was a fire at the door and the only way out was the window, they'd have been screwed.

Its also for ppl who are considered fat (not like in the video, dear god nothing like that) but have a completely acceptable body weight and are healthy, I know girls who are embarrassed by their stomachs and try to lose weight there but it most likley their womb? (theres a proper name for it) pressing against their belly, making it hard to achieve a flat stomach. Obesity and being anorexic are to main issues in the body positivity movement that needs to be dealt with properly, ppl with a large body (but not obese) who are actually taking care of themselves still feel like they need to starve themselves to death (same thing for anorexic ppl). Its odd how women like Lizzo and Adele were attacked and called fatphobic because they wanted to take care of their health and take care of their mental health too

@@themaharishi8160 you can, if you change your lifestyle, be at a healthy weight, being normal weight isn’t being paper thin, it isn’t being ripped as fuck, but just 1 hour exercise per day and a good diet, being in a calorie deficit, and you can lose weight, v easily, i lost over 50 kilos and am not on the road to having a defined body, all you need to not a diet that lasts 3 months, but a lifestyle change that lasts forever, start eating healthy, low calories foods, and have unhealthy snacks when you can still manage to be under your calorie deficit, also cut sugar, this is one of the biggest hidden weight gaining attributes, also alcohol, that shit makes you gain a shit load of weight rly easily.

An addiction is a mental heath and true addict have to deal with shitty withdrawal symptoms and in the case of alcohol, quitting without medication can legit make people die with Delirium Tremens. I myself have to take few months off work because I couldn't deal with the intense insomnia (basically, I just wasn't able to fall asleep without medication and even with it still took a few days). I understand some don't have this luxury of leaving work for a while which can make things even harder but yeah it's 100% your will/determination. Many people also transfer their addiction, eg going from cigarette to food, you're not better off. Dealing with what initially fall into the drug/food/alcohol addiction will help you stay clean and not just transfer your addiction to something else.

My mom is and has always been morbidly obese. Every health issue she has is because of her weight. Anyone who claims obesity causes no health issues will find out when it's too late that it actually does. Once they hit 50 and have many many issues they will regret what they've done

Same with my mother. She died at 53. She's also why I pay attention to my weight and started curtailing excess eating when I'd just put on a couple of extra pounds, because I knew she'd been slim, once, too - and had just 'let herself go'. She very much did not want her children to wind up the same way she had.

It's not uncommon for relationships to break up if a morbid person makes a huge (sorry) effort to lose weight. The enabler - or feeder, who is bringing all the food also gets something out of being 'needed' and being in 'control' and if their partner loses weight and becomes more agile and independent, it upsets the balance of the relationship.

honestly i agree with the term “body positivity”, but not with “fat acceptance” at all. body positivity, to me, is loving your body and feeling worth no matter what size. however, loving your body also means taking care of it- through regular exercise and a balanced diet. its “body positive” because the desire to be healthy is out of love instead of hate towards yourself :). but “fat acceptance” is just an excuse to be lazy.... edit: some people have made comments about how body positivity relates to people who have disabilities such as a missing limb or a structural disability, as well as other uncontrollable things like cystic acne, stretched/loose skin, etc. I absolutely include these in body positivity! I was only talking in terms of weight because thats what the video is about but i hope i clarified some things :)

As a past addict, the most dangerous thing for these people are those who do not hold them accountable. Special treatment is enabling, defending them is enabling them, the only way to help them is to hold them to what they say and what they do. If they are not going to try, hold them accountable for the lack of effort, yes, it hurts, it stings, no one responds to it well, but ignoring the issue and pushing off accountability is more dangerous for their health, mentally and physically. Sometimes you cannot help them and the best you can do is leave them to themselves, it sounds cold but its what is best, but the line as to when it is and when it isn't is hard to see on your own. Effort is openly discussing the issue, allowing to be discussed amongst others, and positively trying to build yourself up on a series of successes, they have often have short term targeted goals on specific tasks, a lack of effort may be seen as a large ambiguous goal that is either daunting or difficult to achieve, and is even worse when used as the primary excuse as to why they cannot improve if they do not receive unfathomable amounts of help. The ability to change is already in them, the ability to recover is inside them, teaching them how to use this ability, to have faith in themselves and who they can be is part of process of recovery. Step 1 is always honesty, with others, but most importantly with yourself. It sucks, it hurts, the amount of shame and guilt can be a mountain of pain, but it gets better because you do not create new shame and new guilt when you try and keep trying, to try is a success within itself proving your desire to change. Seek help, seek guidance, and do not rely too much on yourself, whether you are helping or need help, your knowledge is limited, acceptance of your own faults will help far more than you can imagine. Every experience is different, so make sure to develop your approach with that in mind.

The best way to start losing weight is to be told by your doctor that unless you change your diet and lifestyle you will be dead in 5 years. That is what happened to me and it motivated me to change. I was 20 stone with a 49in waist. 6 years later I’m 11 stone, with a 34in waist and a six pack. I work out every day and only eat whole foods. I have a high protein, healthy fats and low carb diet. I’m 56yrs years old, have reversed my diabetes and am fitter now than when I was 20yrs old and was discharged from the doctors and have extended my life by 20yrs! It’s fucking hard getting and staying fit and healthy but if you want to live you will make the effort and do it. P.s - Diets don’t work, I achieved this by not going on any diet. I did it with a combination of regular exercise and eating the right food and monitoring what I’m eating and reducing the amount of calories I eat daily and to be successful you have to do both, just eating the right food will NOT get you fit or healthy. Nutrition and exercise is the key to success, get this right and everyone can lose fat, get fit and live longer.

Last March my doctor and I decided that weight loss surgery was the best option, my biggest weight was 450 in 2018 and when I saw 450 I decided to go the other way and lost 80 lbs last spring I shot back up to 413. I have taken full responsibility for my weight, you know how I got to 450? I ate fast food almost every meal, and if it was not fast food it came out of a box and the only requirement was to set a temp and a timer...It is so much easier to take responsibility blaming other people is exhausting and cruel. Once you start to say hey this is my fault you can start to fix it. I am still in the process of coming up with my part of the hospital stay and co pay for my surgery but in the mean time I have lost 55 lbs and started eating better and I am way more confident than I was eating at mcd's everyday.

Yeah I didn't live a good life, I used to have sore back, joints after just walking to the kitchen and back and we don't really have a big house. After I realized that I wont have a future with 400lbs and I am just slowly killing myself. I started controlling my food intake and exercising again at the age of 23. Today, I weight 262lbs still working on losing weight for 8 months now, and I am planning to be at least 230ish lbs by the end August. *November Update* : I've been working harder since I set myself back a little bit I gained a few pounds lost some and basically I was holding my weight just enjoying a break from dieting but also experimenting to see if I can hold my weight if I reach my ideal weight in the long run in that aspect I was successful. Not successful however is well my goals to reach 230 by the end of Augest I am sitting since I was experiemtenting at 250lbs roughly 113kgs. new plan is to get out of the 10s by the end of this month which is doable. and get out of the 100s kgs by end of the year. Regarding exercise its winter here in the Middle east so its a perfect time to do a lot of activities, swimming, cycling, padel, jogging etc. I am excited to reach my goals and you guys were so supportive and I appreciate that a lot Thank you so much for taking any time of your day to comment your thoughts on my progress I will be updating this comment at new years. Late December Update: I've been traveling a little bit, and what a difference. I used to not be able to move, today I'm traveling feels kinda odd after traveling but I have enjoyed my time in Sri lanka weather was really nice and had my first experince taking the tuktuk heh. Simple place, yet it was fun for a traveler. Anyway not what you came here for. Traveling I did try to maintain my diet and not binge on things as much I didn't lose what I had in mind but hopefully I will do another update when I go to my nutritionist next weekend So I will be updating you on my progress with a little bit more information, otherwise, I feel like most of my clothes are getting smaller smaller. Bum I just bought clothes last November and now I need more heh. Anyways again Thank you so much for all the encouraging words, and thoughts leaving a reply liking the comment I appreciate you all, and I wish you a happy 2022.

I'm a clinical dietitian specializing in weight loss and management for obesity, and nowadays it's hard to even get the conversation started that they need help, because it's being perceived as fat phobia. This idiology is literally helping these people kill themselves. Body positivity should be about accepting we don't have to look the same thru plastic surgeries or hate what we look like because we're not a Kardashian or a model. It's about accepting your stretch marks, your loose skin, your scars and the real texture of your hair. It's not about enforcing negative and dangerous behavior to people who already struggle with addiction.

Maybe tell them the truth. People can get body disphora about other things besides gender. There was a guy who tried to get doctors to cut off his leg because he felt he shouldn't have it. I'm so genuinely happy that someone has the balls to cover this invasive bully behavior. It's got to stop. Maybe someday you could cover the topic of abusive hypocritical sociopathic Trans stereotypes. Not genuine trans-genders. I mean those brats that try to enforce their beliefs on to others and then belittle and berate you for the slightest disagreement. Because women fight by shaming. They are very social creatures. Being outed by the group is almost like a death sentence. They try to attack men by trying to hurt them emotionally and go for what they think is the most important source of confidence for them: sex. Tell a woman you're gay and watch her pull out all the childish insults. I find it funny because in making sex out to be the most important thing for men, it, on the backhand, makes it sound like sex is the most important thing a woman can give to a man.
@CyberLance26
@CyberLance26 4 жыл бұрын
@@alastor8091 Well thats because thats the way it is. Most people here in the west nowadays dont want to admit it but sex is extremely important to me and men need sex way more than women does and the women all know how important it is to them so they use sex to get what they want and to try to hurt men and make them feel bad all the time. This is all part of our biology and our instincts so many people dont seem to even realise this stuff and just do it unconsciously and automatically without thinking about it. Men have a way stronger sex drive and a way stronger need for sex than women does so its the greatest weapon the women have against them because the men can only get the sex they need so much if the women give them permission to do it. This is why things like prostitution and rape have always been a common thing because men just want to get to the sex right away and dont really want to work for a long time to get permission first. In the past that men and women are completely different when it comes to sexual stuff used to be something that everybody knew and accepted but these days here in the west people want to pretend that the genders are exactly the same with almost everything. Its still something everybody knows and accept in countries outside the west.

My first though was that they’re both hardcore Star Wars fan’s and the man wants indeed the lady to be real life jabba the hut. 🤔 My second thought was that the man really hates her deeply for some reason, and tries to “get rid” of her by feeding her. My thought got stronger from my observation of the mans body language, when he had gagging reactions while watching her to eat the sh*tty hamburgers. My third thought was that maybe the woman has started the eating to punish on his husband for something. My fourth thought was that she has other mental issues and traumas from the past that has lead to that situation. Maybe it’s a mix of all of them. I have much more thougs about this but I don’t want to write them all now. 😅

My boyfriend is such a kind and gentle caring man, but the women he was with in the past walked all over him or psychologically tortured him to the extent that he has told me he thinks he could have ptsd, and then in addition one of his ex girlfriends met up with someone online and went missing. They probably didn't treat him right because he's 5'4 though and most women for some reason can't stand being with a man that height, but for me I love looking down at him because I feel a little less anxious when people are smaller than me. I always try my best for him and I try to always be there for him if he ever needed a shoulder to cry on or needs another hand to help him get through life. We both can't live without each other because we're so important to each other, our lives are like tires on a bicycle and we need each other to be able to keep going. When he does something for me (like cook) I always try to do something equal in return or else I feel bad. Sorry I just love my little guy so much, I hate it when other women treat their partners as if they were a doormat that welcomes you with kind words that they then rub their grimy dirty shoes all over repeatedly.

I think we should just be more mindful that fat people are PEOPLE. Food is straight up addictive for many people. And altho being 500 pounds is never healthy some people do have different body types or are using their bodies for different things and being just a few pounds bigger and having a different build can be beneficial. We need to encourage fitness (in everyone not just fat ppl) and be open to accepting more different shapes of person. We need to chill on the ridicule because it just makes people feel bad and can backfire instead of motivating someone to change. It's easier to just make space for a fat person or ask them to join you on whatever your active activities are than to try and shove them into a corner using shame. They won't fit.

Yeah, since when is round considered curvy? I thought curvy was when you curved in at the waist, out at the hips, and back in again. A pear is curvy, a melon is not.

i never really understood what people mean when they say "curvy". Like a women with curvy hips and big tits? Thats the only good curves i can think about. If a man is "curvy" hes fuckin chubby. Just more meaningless language for fatties to deny reality.

I always like to differentiate between "having" fat, and "being" fat. It's normal for a body to store a little bit of fat, to pad your joints and in case it needs extra energy. It's not healthy to have 0% body fat. However, when your fat stores outweigh your muscle mass or even your bones and other tissue, that's a serious problem.

Am I the only one disgusted by the pictures of sugars and sweets? Idk. I used to be 300 pounds but unlike these fools, I confronted my mistakes and took responsibility for my actions, and went on a diet to fix it, I've already lost 70 pounds.

@HiddenOcelot
@HiddenOcelot 4 жыл бұрын
@@user-dx6hk2op7w your beliefs don't change your genetics.... and very few genetic factors are effected by environment, saying that, some interesting things happen to how our body solves problems depending on environment though (such as muscle growth, and metabolism). Now metabolism has many factors and not all of it is genetic, some of it is based off of how you eat and not what you eat (such as five times a day in comparison to say three times a day), or things like how much per meal (large in comparison to small). But tbh other then metabolism, most other things aren't affected by environment to much (at least in very meaningful ways, except maybe brain function or reading comprehension and speech.)
