It is so true. I was adamant that I wasn't eating to much, but that's a knee jerk response. It isn't true. I eat too much. If I eat 1600 calories or less I lose weight but here's my day today. Got up at 4am ran out the door stopped at the gas station got two oatmeal creme pies for 4 dollars (1000 calories right there). Because I was going to a new job I was anxious and wasn't sure where I was at stopped to go to the bathroom had two doughnuts (800 calories). For lunch my trainer bought me a slice of New York style pizza slice. I would say 300 calories and my commute home was so stressful I had to eat something to feel better I was on the verge of crying because of epic traffic pile up, got a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store and ate it (1400 calories). That is a total of 3500 calories my basal metabolic rate is around 2200 a day. I try to eat less but it is incredibly difficult. I take medicine that shuts down production of the hormone that triggers satiety. I can eat and eat and not feel full until I have way overloaded my stomach.
@sanitary103
@sanitary103 6 ай бұрын
@@michaelharris8598 I commend you for being honest at least. that's a start. speaking from someone with a good amount of experience in health and fitness, high protein intake from clean sources (fish, chicken, turkey, eggs etc) should help stave off some of the lack of satiety you have when you just don't feel full. you're eating tons of carbs and that's giving you an insulin spike followed by a crash. if you do that and stick to mostly green veggies, the weight will shed off. last, not to sound judgemental, but why the heck is your trainer bringing you pizza? is that a personal trainer? if so, you should find another one.

Because womens psyche is all about being accepted in the group, which is also why they hate shameful terms like 'slewt' or 'bossy' and they'll try anything to either ban the words with silly hashtag campaigns, find other words that have no stigma yet to replace the words or make the bahaviour acceptable that triggers these words.

@TheJollyKraut
@TheJollyKraut 3 жыл бұрын
@@meow92005 No one is supportive of fat people except their close family and/or friends. And men do fat guys even worse than they do fat women. The thing is that womens s*xual market value derives from their beauty, so if a woman is fat she basically has no s*xual market value, meanig she can't get the men she wants. Plus, women judge other womens looks too. Men on the other hand can be fat and still be providers, because women will still choose money over looks when they don't have high enough value themself to attract better men. Plus, men don't judge other men necessarily by their looks but by their socioeconomic status ("My car, my house, my yacht, your wife").

Not exactly the big weight loss people would expect but for me this is everything. Being fat is not good and it brings you down in every way. I was 90 lbs soaking wet in middle school. One day a guy in the locker room loudly made fun of my sunken chest. He was overweight and had man boobs. As much as I was mad at him he was right, I was skinny as hell, and couldn’t fight him if I wanted to. Was also not into sports. So I went home and tried to do 10 pushups, and that almost killed me. Eventually it didn’t hurt anymore and I could do 20-30 without stopping. Did more and more and now at 31 years old I’m still fit and very active. I can do 35 pull ups without stopping, then more after a quick break. Still not into sports. I wonder what my life would be if I wasn’t shamed for being skinny.

And also talk about the building that he/she is renting in that needs to be destroyed in order for them to fit through and be carried out? Are they going to pay the landlord for the damages ? So if they have a heart attack then they shouldn't call the hospital they should just stay there in their apartment because it doesn't affect anyone else right? Being fat is expensive and it's not worth it. Fat people should just lose weight they cut many of their problems in half when they do.😒

I'm a 70 year old woman who grew up in the south. Despite that (fried everything), I was slim all the way into college and actually until I got pregnant with my first child. I gained, but managed to get the weight off. (my then husband threatened me that if I got fat he'd divorce me. I fooled him and left him first). Later on in a happy marriage I had my second child and we made the worst mistake in our lives. We bought a business and became self employed. It was 20 years of more financial/emotional/mental stress than you can imagine. I piled on the pounds. It took me years, YEARS to finally see the light. After a few health scares I finally really understood that you must DECIDE to do whatever it takes. If you never make that 'in your soul' decision, you'll never commit and you'll fail. I made that decision, gave up soda (remember, I'm from the south, and I loved my Dr. Pepper), gave up empty starchy carbs, chips, junk, fast food, convenience foods. We RARELY eat out. I cook everything from scratch. I even gave up wine which I love. I don't love any of it nearly as much as I love the 90+lb weight loss.

Not sure if anyone’s reading comments on a 3 year old video, but here goes nothing. Up until recently I’d been significantly overweight since high school. I was in great shape in HS when I was wrestling and lifting weights often. But after I stopped working out I kept eating the big meals I was accustomed to. The weight crept up on me. I knew I needed to lose weight, but I kept telling myself that it was too hard or that I wasn’t worth the trouble. I didn’t have a reason to change, until a couple life events happened. First, my older sister gave birth to my nephew and he was so cute, I told myself logically if she can have a cute baby, then so can I, sane gene pool, right? But I had mostly self selected out of the dating pool up until that point and the few girls I did ask out weren’t remotely interested. I knew (rightfully so) that I wasn’t a good catch, but I didn’t want to put in the work to change. The second life event was dating a girl with way too many red flags. I mean really this girl had every issue you can imagine. Her boyfriend had just broken up with her, and she never stopped talking about him. I knew she was just using me as a rebound because she was insecure and afraid of being alone. She also basically threw herself at me, which was bad because I knew I wanted marriage, not a fling. Then later, when I showed some vulnerability, she broke up with me and went back to her ex. AND I found out later that she has an OF account. I was obviously frustrated with her, but I was most frustrated with myself. Why did I ignore so many red flags? Why was I dating a girl that obviously wasn’t a good fit for me? Why was my opinion of myself so low that I was willing to settle for such a bad relationship? These questions led me to my reason to lose weight. I wanted a wife (a really good wife) and I wanted kids. Perhaps most importantly I wanted to stop settling and putting up with my own BS excuses. I yo-yo dieted in 2022. Went from 300 lbs to 250, but then didn’t stay consistent and gained half of it back by the start of 2023. That’s when I got really mad at myself and everything changed. I joined my local Catholic Church and made friends with people who support me. I gave up soda for Lent, then gave it up entirely. I stopped eating fast food multiple times per week and started cooking healthy meals (shoutout to chicken, rice and broccoli). I started walking and running on a daily basis. I weighed myself at the same time every day. And I told friends and family about my struggles and my successes. But most importantly I told myself that if I didn’t lose a substantial amount of weight, that I would die alone with no legacy. Now it’s been 8 months. I dropped from 270 lbs to 190 lbs. I dropped 4 inches of my waist. I just got my clothes tailored so that they don’t fit like loose tents anymore. I have a way more active social life with people who actually care about me and share my values. But most importantly I’m dating a beautiful, kind and thoughtful girl. We’re crazy about each other and I think she might be the one. If you read this far, please pray for my continued success. As far as takeaways go, I’d say you need to find your reason to change for weight loss or anything else. Tell yourself that if you don’t do X, Y and Z that there will be consequences. Stop lying to yourself and expect more out of yourself and others. Surround yourself with people who will support you in your goal and who are also chasing their own goals. You are better then this.

They do skinny shame, even just regular bodyshape shame. I used to be fat, then got my shit together. While I was still fat but in the process of dropping weight I joined this body-positive group on facebook because stupid me thought it was an all-female group encouraging healthy choices. The group rules said bikini pics were allowed so I nervously put one up. It was taken down within 2 minutes and I was banned from the group because "conventionally attractive bodies were not allowed". Ironically that was the best confidence boost I ever had and inspired me to drop the remaining weight.

And lemme tell you I'm super overweight ( 268lbs ) and it's not comfortable at all. my knees hurt, out of breath all the time ect. its Hell. So I started to diet. In 1 month I lost 15lbs and Ive never been happier about my weight. If I make it to the finish line im going to help others to lose weight too. That's my goal. Wish me luck :) ohh and I wholeheartedly think fat acceptance should be about accepting that you are fat and you need to get healthy to live a comfortable life. Don't say you're starting to diet, say you are changing your diet. It's a permanent thing. If you change your diet to proper amounts of whole foods you will drop the pounds and feel great. Best of luck. I really hope you stick with it, so long as you are doing it properly. Make sure it's with healthy, natural foods. "Diet" foods are fucking garbage, low fat yogurt is garbage, Nutri Grain bars are garbage, pasta is garbage. If the package tells you how healthy it is, it probably isn't. Matter of fact, if it comes from a package it's probably not good. The produce section and meat section are the sections of the grocery store you should go to for 90% of your food. Stay out of the aisles. There are no shortcuts. Do it the right way and you'll be so thankful you did. Best of luck to you. Keep it up and I promise you that you won't regret it.

Yeah junk food is also sometimes more available, especially in large cities in less fortunate area, it’s called a “food desert”, basically all that’s available within walking distance is a convenience store, which sells snacks, junk food, and sometimes hotdogs and frozen foods, but rarely fruit or veggies. This makes it hard for low income families in these areas to eat healthy, especially if public transportation isn’t readily available all of the time. It’s very sad, especially for children who can’t shop for themselves. This is in the USA, in many many places.

Sumo wrestlers are basically body builders that purposefully eat a shit load. I watched a documentary once on them and they eat relatively healthy, just like 5x the portion size. And their body fat percentage is only 25-35ish I believe, whereas these obese whales are easily over 40. They may weigh as much as a small car, but most of that is muscle. Addictions are hard to break, and as you try to break them, your body and mind are constantly telling you (Give me this) so it takes a lot of willpower and perseverance to actually eat less and exercise more, especially in a society where temptation can be so easily fulfilled. That's no excuse, and it's possible to lose weight, but it's harder than most people who haven't experienced it think.
