Interesting conversation. Like anything, we must not assume that all African Americans are alike. Popular, current Black American culture and individuals are different. We must get to know each other instead of judging African Americans by media. I was friends with an African woman for nearly two years. The friendship turned into a relationship. I have met her family, paid a dowry, married her, and I am learning her language. This video was somewhat disappointing because it appeared that there was more negativity than positivity. It is what it is. I will continue loving, enjoying my wife, and building with her while the stereotypes continue. lol

Brother, the premise of this video is false. I'm a retired black American living in Kenya, and I get more women than I have time to accommodate. I have several black American friends in Kenya also, and they all have young fine African girlfriends. I understand this sister has to come up with these video topics to get clicks but in this case, she is off base.

As a Foundational American Bm I guarantee you we don't sit around and focus on nothing like this. And after 500yrs removed from the African Continent we're Americans culturally where we've developed our own unique style and culture especially depending on what region of America we're from. It's a style that today drives a lot of social media, influenced America therefore the world through political movements, literature, Religion with the concept of Black Liberation Theology, sports, science, agriculture, art, music, dance , fashion. In fact we've made being black cool worldwide at a time when the image of Black people was that of being uncivilized, cannibalistic, Tarzan, King Solomon Mines movies-- We challenged that and Won. We introduced Pan Africanism, Black Nationalism and quoted "Africa is for the African" Martin L Delany 1812-1885 So I think the question should be the other way around about dating and marrying----- For American Bm who're Military officers, Police officers, fire fighters, White Collar and Blue Collar Professionals, Small Business and property Owners, Athletes Entertainers, -----52% are single , 64% are middle class and 8% are Millionaires... So the question should be the other way around ladies

No the difference is that some African women are watching how African American women are and acting that way. Wanting material things that they see on TV and expecting African men to provide it in a financially scarce environment. An that same women expects it immediately from a African American man. Men from all cultures want traditional women. The problem is now these women don't want to be or act traditional. A man's worth is based on how many gucci bags can he buy for you and the sad part is that the gucci bag is for showing it off to other women on social media. That's what it's about now

Greetings Ndagire. Wow. If a man is asking for nude pictures in a very short amount of time That’s like a woman asking for money to take care of her bills. Both situations are not acceptable. Both sides of looking for a serious relationship should spend time together learning each other’s cultures. We have to break the American brainwashing that has broken down our relationships. So just be aware of who you’re dealing with. There are fast people on both sides. So really spend time observing them before you get into them. ❤

African Americans are African. We have not lost our culture. It is in our DNA. If Black people in America are not African because we weren't born on the continent, Whites, Indians , Asians and Arab born in Africa have every right to call themselves African and are entitled to everything a Black African is entitled to on the Continent. You should be careful not to generalize that all African American men are the same or a certain way because of one experience with one African American. We are very different and diverse in our personalities, our values and attributes. You can pick any two African American men from the whole population of Africa American men and there are no two that are alike. Where we are alike is that we share the same culture, other than that we are very different and have our own individual personality traits and way of interacting with the world. I'm speaking as an African American man myself. Also, don't be fooled or buy into the stereotypes that you see from America. The movies, tv, media, or any other negative images that you see coming from America, cause they are false and not a true or accurate representation of the population of African American men as a whole. Anyway really I enjoy your show, keep it up.
@Smitty753

I can agree with that because I can generalize and say most African women have an affinity for white men when they come to the United States do you see it all the time a African woman told me she doesn't have a preference for white men but all her children are by two separate white men one that abuser so they full of crap and the girl in the green hair sells box so she can go on talking about the way we are LOL they don't really know if they just know from what they see on TV

So, on the one hand, ya'll don't want African American men to treat you like modern women by asking for nudes and moving too fast but then in the same breath, you also don't want him to treat you like you're a traditional African woman or come with preconceived notions of that. How does that make any sense? You're either treated as modern or traditional.

I just watched your video on my TV. I turned on my computer so it could be easier to type a comment. Ndagire, you are very attractive to me. I like you a lot. I live in Atlanta, USA, Georgia, and if I was there in Uganda, I would treat you the same way that I would treat any woman, including the women here in America. I fell in love with Uganda a long time ago. I started learning Luganda, the cultures, the food. I heard you say in another video that you all look up to us Black Americans. Fact is, many of us look up to and admire you guys. You should see how we act when we even mention the word Uganda. You guys make us so happy to even listen to you. I know one guy who has tears every time he looks at the people of Uganda. You guys make so many of us happy. We want to come so bad. Not to mention the music. Many of us don't even listen to American music anymore. We like Apass, Rema and much more. We don't talk about coming to Africa to help. We talk about coming to Africa to LEARN HOW to help, or be a productive member of that society, and we are ready to LISTEN AND LEARN from you guys. You'd be surprised at how many of us right here in my own circle admire and love you guys. We're not bad people over here in the USA. We just have to learn how to 'be African.' I say that because that's where we want to be . . . in Africa. This is getting long and there is so much more to say, but just remember that there are many, many, many and many of us over here that admire, look up to and want to be with you guys. sula bulungi. spend the night well. talk to you later. nkwagala. Wait I’m black American and I dated plenty of African women in America alone. I can only say this in certain countries people tend to stick to there own kind. I had girlfriends from Kenya, SA, Liberia, Cameroon, DRC and Rwanda. But I went out on successive dates with Burkina Faso, Nigerians, Taz’s, Somalians, Guinea Basu, Sierra Leone, Tongo and Ivory Coast. I think because of the cultural differences is what makes black peoples stay away from pursing relationships with women from the continent. In the history of America there was always a movement to deafricanized the African Americans. They wasn’t allowed to speak there language practice the culture nor eat the food. And it’s funny to this day white people hate when black Americans try to connect with their African past

Normal AA people are morally upright, usually conservative leaning with some liberal tendencies. Unfortunately, men like me are often abandoned and ignored by AA women after the cultural shift of the 90’s so now we’re leaving for other places with African women such as Africa and Brazil(the Black side of Brazil).

Proudly They had nothing to do with themselves being born their. However they are a proud people yes. And have every right to be. Because they have fought every step of the way to sub stained themselves in the system that have always been against. And that takes strength and endurance. And that takes strength and Goodwill and power to do that. And they didn't run away from the country that they are boring in. Even though they are oppressed on a daily basis. They have made a life for themselves in America. And yes they have ties to the African continent through their ancestors and blood line. And yes they do want to connect to their ancestors mother land. But they will not begg the African on the continent to connect with them . They have reached out to Africa in many ways showing that they love their people there on the continent and want to get to know them in many ways. But yet some how they are not welcomed as other groups of people. There is always some type of negativity shown and spoken towards them from their own people on the African continent. When they truly do not really know African Americans. It is rather unfortunate. And when they do go to visit their mother Land . They are not welcomed as others. Because there is always negative talk about them. A people that you have truly not reach out to truly truly know. Much more I can say. But I land my plane here.🙄🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🇺🇸

Well said 🎯🎯🎯 at the end of the day we need to realize when we go to the continent we will be treated as outsiders and act accordingly. I still believe there is overwhelmingly more pros than cons if we don’t go there blinded by the fairytale of going back to Africa.

African culture about women is diverse because African cultures are different just like it is in the west. Choose your favorite country and learn about their women. Uganda alone has over 40 tribes with different cultures

So many lies told here. I will be here for a month or two in Nairobi and women have literally invited themselves over. They talk sex openly. On the Kenyan, Ghana, Nigeria sites especially, lots of their profiles say and, if you can see my inbox on women telling me how they like their sex and what they would do sexually as my woman. What I've been hearing from some Kenyan women are mixed, some won't date foreign men some will. But, I haven't met one shy woman.

Those are your own opinions. And they are coming from only 2 people. I am African American would like to let African woman know that we love you. And we, African American men have been raised by a low level vibration call white supremacy. And our history under it has has totally disrupted our African way of living. You have not explained the tremendous difficulty we had to go threw, to keep what ever identity we have. We, African American men, who are woke, yern for a sister from the continent to teach us how to be african and reintegrate into ourselves once again. Do not look down on us. It is not our fault. Don't look at us as other. We are the ancestors to.

The manner in which you speak with the sounds and the extremely overt gestures isn’t acceptable among certain classes of African American men. We are taught to not accept loudness in civilized society. Now I don’t know about the other issues but I do know the complaints about some African American women and African behaviors as witnessed in this video from the girl in the green headscarf isn’t going to go well.

Yes our culture as "black" Americans is different, just as your culture is different to us and others globally. It comes of very condescending and snide. As if yall hold your self to a higher esteem and thats furthest from the Truth. And our cultures in America are highly rich and the most influential on the globe and those are subcultures which stem from "black" Americans culture as a whole. Every so called "black" American dont listen to rap or act or operate as or environments that they show yall africans on TV. How they portrays yalk in africa us far worse. And we definitely dont get down how they portrays yall in the media. Majority of "black" Americans date and marry within our group,as most nations of people The world has an obsession with us and itz wild. Don't say no. Cuz our names is in everyones mouth. People who don't even know or ever been round us. We aint african and never been

Hmm interesting. Maybe that's why I stay to myself and won't try to pursuit an African woman. Yes I have morals not to ask her for sex or ask for crazy stuff. And yes I understand about the culture shocks on both side! To date an African woman. I think it would be a cool thing to do take her out by her little niknaks and we both go to our separate homes. We would have to get an understanding before anything else. Maybe she wants marriage who knows. But I am not no expert on that. I know a lot of African woman and men marry black Americans and what I see? It works

Wow, this is insane, I have seen your videos asking black Americans in the Diaspora to come to Africa and get a wife, Now you are saying you are afraid of us or fear us. You say you are not stereotyping AA's but then proceeded to do just that,, You copy what the media says about Black Americans, and think that is the truth,, Yes we want a traditional woman, that is why so many have left the hellish States and are seeking wives elsewhere. please understand, that African Americans are not and never will pursue any woman, we are pursuing the idea of a traditional woman, and hoping that we find it. Secondly, so what a man asked her for nudes,, just say no,,, but that dont paint us with the same brush as the man who asked you,, you are an adult you know how to handle that, I am at a loss following you now because passport Kings are going to East Africa in record number now, its all over their pages. I myself have Business Partners in Kampala, Mukono, and Entebee, and have been to Uganda and Africa at least 5 or 6 times,, so what you are saying makes no sense to me,, matter of fact its the opposite,, ladies always asking me to ask men to come with me to Uganda so they can meet them,, Lastly,, if you think for one minute that an African American man is going to bow to any man,, that is not ever likely to happen, and you said regardless of the age, treated with respect yes, honor? Yes, but bow down,, hell no,, smh
