A fantastic interview with great responses to all the questions. However, I would like to see these products manufactured in the Uk and not lining the pockets of the Asian market. I would rather pay a bit more for stuff made here in the Uk. I'm getting tired of all these Chinese made products when now is the time to invest in British made products.

And and by the way, if a handfull boilies can cost 10 € everything is possible in this market. Additional thought: There could be a normal brand with a special "Romantic Edition" where you can buy the same product and can choose between the "normal" edition and the romantic version. You might pay double of the price but will live a more romantic edition of your life :DD

Nice guy but everyone says the same when starting a new company..."it's all about the customer and giving back". Then you get big (like korda) and it's all about how much crap you can sell to people for as much as possible. I'm sure Dan Fairbrass said the same when he started out.

Reality is that Korda pioneered the advertorial fishing videos, huge initial cost to them, but provided entertaining content that improved peoples fishing (and helped flog them some tackle too). The difference between Korda and the rest was that Korda did this on tv, not just the occasional youtube video. They also run the kids carp camp, donations to cancer charities from clothing sales and started embryo (safeguarding loads of fisheries from otters). The reality is you probably wont find a fishing company that have done more than Korda in terms of giving back. Businesses ultimately have to be about profit to enable them to give back, so yes there is an element of how much can we flog, but show me another fishing business of Kordas size that does 50% of what Korda does. I’m not here because I love Korda, I’m commenting because its easy to criticise when you dont understand reality

I’m a fisherman. I also run my own plumbing company. The aim of the game is to train the younger generation. Yes they will make mistakes and learn from them. But they will inevitably be great assets. Some longer than others. But when the time comes they are ready to take the leap. And you get to see them succeed.
