Abu is right we may be blocking Allah's blessings through major and minor sins (consequences and effects of negative sins that are subtle yet we ignore them ie problems after problems in a person's life and family, difficulty and hardship) .. Istighfar is important and setting things right.

But what should you do if you have no choice but to take tuition fees for university and taking a yr out would make the situation worse because student finance only provides you money with the first 4 years of university? I feel like I am in quicksand with this situation.

I am so incompetent everytime I try enter into a field I have nothing to give. Allahs guidance is the only thing that can keep me on a stable path. Pray istikhara every sunnah fajr prayer. Print the dua on a paper so u don’t have to open your phone and get a headache after just waking up. Say “ya muqallibal qulub thabit qalbi ‘ala deenik” after Ibrahim dua in every prayer. You’ll see progress and want to leave and just trust that Allah has a better plan for you one way or another

Salam how are you brother? I am muslim hamdillah and have invested in the us stock market. Is that ok as a muslim? I have some shares in voo. aapl, ptr, tsla and nvda. It's a humble amount but I want barakah so gaining wealth in a unhalal way is not something I want to do and losing wealth due to lack of knowledge in islam with this subject is a worry of mine .
