Nice car but next time don't just start the car and Rev it.. as a matter of fact don't Rev it at all.. I'm sure future customers don't want dealers revving the car they are looking to buy.
@everycarSeattle
@everycarSeattle 9 жыл бұрын
+Ismet Vladic I don't know why people have an opinion of revving the car...you do realize that dealers beat the car to death as part of their test drive and inspection to make sure about the limits and quality of the car. The dealer is the one who generally backs the warranty they sell so they can't afford to sell a car that has issues at the far ends of the performance spectrum, so we put the merchandise to the test before we put it on the lot. As upset as everyone gets about revving the car, I think they'd be horrified to see what happens before we put it on the lot.

Did you seriously say that you didn't wash the engine ya because you don't want to get water on the spark plugs? Please slap yourself for me!! It has the stock engine cover that sits the entire way across the valve cover which has the plugs going down the middle. On top of that, it's a coil on plug set up. As long as the coils are down tight and also keep water out. Also the TRD exhaust is only an axle back that doesn't connect up to the header. It's cool to make vids like this in order to help sell a car, but make sure you have all the facts straight first. You didn't even mention that it has been lowered.

Loving mine. They're slightly underpowered at 160 hp but still a fun drive anyway. They do tend to understeer pretty heavily though. Nothing that strut tower bar and a rear sway bar won't largely help. Not the easiest of engines to mod/tune, but not excessively difficult either. There is absolutely potential for some pretty serious power production as well. Mine is in need of some work at this point, but since I've finally paid it off, I'll hang onto it a while and start upgrading bit by bit.

right off the bat you lied about the price. scion tc has a shit resale. Any standard toyota or even a honda would have like 20 percent higher resale. Scion Tc is not a Sports car. Also reving it like that was a rookie move. im assuming your comment about it only being 4.5k rpm was also a lie but even if it wasnt, thats still terrible for the valve train.

Jonathan James I would think a car that costs roughly 7 grand if you bought it today (that video is a couple of years old) and a few years later is still worth over 5 grand would be considered fantastic resale value. Most people lose more than $1500 just driving their new purchase home, and that's no lie. Also, if your budget only allows for a $7000 car, you're obviously not going to get a 600 horsepower car like my Infiniti (I'll add a link since I assume you'll think that's a lie as well: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n52zgaV6YrKXkLc ) but in capable hands, I would think most owners find them actually very sporty, and that's no lie. Since I'm selling the car and making my living off of selling that car, I have no desire to harm it, which is why I didn't over-rev it...and it's not terrible for the valve train, not even remotely. P.S. Scion has the same resale value as Toyota because Scion is Toyota. The lease residuals are the same for both and I'll assume if the people who actually make the cars feel comfortable buying them back for the same percentage of MSRP, they probably know what they're doing. But I guess you would think all of that is a lie anyway.

Oooh boy. That's 160 hp at the crank. So with all the mods, if it were tuned for it, maybe 180 hp. Since it's probably not tuned, 150 hp. After you blow the engine red lining it? 0 hp.

There was a time, Josh, when that was the hottest car on the road...especially modified. The funny thing is that even for a bad buy so to speak, if it cost 10,000 5 years age and is worth 5000 with 60000 more miles, it's actually costing that owner about $100 a month to own.

I don't see anything special about this car, its just an economy car that's worth $4500 not $10.000! I had a chance to buy one from a privet owner at 96000 miles for $5200 I refused.

I'm not a financial advisor but if people buy a thing for 10,000 and you can buy it for 5200, I would buy that thing and turn around and sell it. If I found 4800 lying around on the street I wouldn't forget that day for the rest of my life.

everycarSeattle lol you couldnt flip that car if you bought it $5000 because thats how much its worth thats why used cars at dealers are ripoffs you pay way more than off the street

I think you did a great job in the presentation. however I agree with other viewers some rookie moves on reving the car that high.. my two cents are to take the vid down If you want business. best of luck.

+Serg Fuentes I appreciate that Serg. I did sell that car and the owner posted that it's been a great car for them. In fact, I bet if you factored in both fun to drive and resale value it might be one of the smartest purchases they ever make. tC's really are nice cars for the money.

that car sounds like shit. Intakes add no power and the exhaust won't really either unless it delete the cats. your looking at Maybe 7hp over stock. btw if your going to rev out a car rev it don't just hold it at 5 grand. this is not a sports car either.
