When I was in my late teens, I started to get frequent panic attacks. (I had them during lunch time as a kid, too, so I guess that they were frequent then.) I didn't even know about anxiety disorder and panic attacks until I was freakin' 27. I started taking Xanax, but I always took really low doses for fear of addiction and all. But the #1 thing that helped me big-time was getting rid of a crap diet and switching to 8-10 servings of veggies every day. My excessive sweating stopped and my nervous gut went away completely! Learning about gut health has really helped out!

@@DrTraceyMarks Mine has more to do with finding work and providing for myself. I had a really bad start in life. I had ADHD on top of dyslexia so school was hellish for me. I got little support in school to the point I reached the age of 15 and was illiterate. I couldn't read or write they had to pay for two years of top notch private to catch me up. I did really well there averaged 80 and 90 on my tests. Then they sent me back to public school were I floundered then just dropped out. So I have not worked in over 10 years and my job prospects are dismal. And all jobs I have had have bin pretty awful including cleaning the inside of a slaughterhouse my first job. So now I am racking my brain for what I can do to make money so I am not destitute. I'm OK right now but soon I will have to move on so my aging parents can sell there home. They need to done size for there own good. So now I feel trapped with no way out of this situation. It's kind hard not to feel a little pissed off that someone else screwed up my education and now I have little hope of a happy outcome

I'm grateful for your work and for the progress being made regarding the methods of treatment offered to help manage anxiety. In 2004, at age 24 I had major anxiety as I was completely overwhelmed, just starting my teaching career and still in limbo from extensive trauma I'd experienced years before. During the first visit, a psychiatrist put me on 3 very strong medications (klonopin, lexapro and propranolol) and only saw me a handful of times. I was dependent on klonopin for years before I decided that a more natural / spiritual route was best for me. I'm so grateful that despite how challenging it can be to manage anxiety, there's now a plethora of options / solutions and methods so easily available to us, to treat this beast so many of us have experienced. We have the power to discover what works best for us - no more... "one prescription fits all" 💯🙏🏽I look forward to purchasing my copy!

I’m a 32 almost 33 years old lawyer from Monterrey Mexico and I’ve been struggling with anxiety since I was like 26. Since the Covid vaccines, I started to be so apprehensive regarding every single symptom I experienced, and I started having lots of panic attacks. But I just found out that when I get frustrated about the dumbest things, that triggers my panic attacks. I personally have been struggling with sudden high blood pressure, which declines in a minute of course. I’m really looking forward to buy your book. I will buy it on the Apple Book Store in my phone. Greetings Dr.

I think I have always had anxiety, looking back on my younger years. But I had one experience in the dentist chair having a long procedure. The Dentist gave me a lot of novocaine. This made my heart begin to beat harder and faster. And there is where I had my first full blown panic attack. It was absolutely horrible. And it followed me for about 6 years. Every time I had even the most slight feeling of “difference” i,e; strong coffee, medication, etc. it sent me right back to that same moment of what felt like “impending doom”. It took me a long time, psychological help, Prozac and identifying my triggers. I am not completely out of it, but I am so much better. It had taken over 15 years, but I am so much better now. You hit nail on head! “Health anxiety” any time I begin to feel differently. It sends me. I go to the sink and begin cold water on my face, drinking it in, and focusing on breathing until it passes. Anxiety has almost overwhelmed my life. I stay close to God, and pray on the fears. Sounds like I need your book! Thank you, Doctor!

Up until age 50 I could deal with any stress that came my way and even scored low on anxiety tests. Anxiety then was 'normal' in that it would arise in a naturally anxiety provoking situation, like before a job interview or exam (but I could still perform ok) and then go down immediately afterwards. As soon as I started the menopause however, I experienced anxiety and insomnia such as I'd never known before. It was debilitating. I wonder if your book covers possible biological causes of anxiety, such as disrupted hormone balance?
