On land purchase: it was going on under the Ottoman and the British stopped it in the '30's. all the land was purchased from palestinian and turk owners. And, the British did not have anything to do w/ the terms of the land purchase. Much like when Jews and other ethnic groups "gentrify" in the US, this is the way of capitalism and the turk and palestinian owners fully understood. Also, private property is Jewish law (halacha).

The land was not "purchased" from palestinian or turk "owners". These alleged "titles" would've been giggled out of the most corrupt backwater Mississippi courtroom. The alleged "owners" in no way owned the land their piece of paper claimed. In most cases, no one in their family had even visited said land in centuries, let alone collected any rent on it. With the transfer of "title" they conveyed all of the rights to the land that they possessed, which were ZERO RIGHTS. Any rights they had, had lapsed centuries before.
