Anaxes had potential to be Umbara 2.0 if the series had gond that way. Imagine a brutal arc that ends by fading to black, the droids are landing on the ship yard and we hear over a garbbled comm “Seppies have taken the shipyard, all remaining units, withdraw and pull back to sector delta!”

The fact that the politicians and the military leaders in the Republic went along with Palpatine's idea of allowing Coruscant's defense fleet to join the Outer Rim Sieges without objections is beyond me. After all, the Battle of Anaxes is already a sign that not even the planets in the Core Worlds are safe from the Clones Wars. So strengthen Coruscant's defense should be the priority. I know, I know. He needed the Battle of Coruscant to happen in order for himself to get abducted. But the fact that he faced no oppositions in making such a decision like this baffled me.

Okay you only talked about it from 7:01 to 10:09, but I'll still count this as a proper video discussing this battle, so we can check that off the list of battles seen in The Clone Wars that have been given videos discussing their battles. And in case anyone is wounder, which you probably aren't but I'm a massive windbag who loves to hear himself talk or write in this case so I'm going to tell you all anyways(lol), here is the list of all the episodes with battles/missions properly discussed so far by Geetsly: Season 1: Episodes 1 to 4, episode 6, episodes 13 to 16, and episodes 19 to 21. Season 2: Episodes 4 to 11, and episodes 15 to 22. Season 3: Episodes 1 to 3, episodes 10 to 12, and episodes 15 to 20. Season 4: Episodes 7 to 18(two for episodes 7 to 10 in fact as you've done two separate videos on the Battle of Umbara). Season 5: Episodes 2 to 5. Season 6: Episodes 5 to 9. Season 7: Just now Episodes 1 to 4. So here's what's left to cover: Season 1: The Mission to Grevious Listening Outpost to Rescue R2, the capture of Nute Gunray and his later rescue by Ventress, the Mission to Ggrevious Lair, Dooku's capture by Hondo, the Battle of Maridun, the Mission to Naboo to stop the Blue Shadow Virus, and Cad Bane's attack on the Senate Building. Season 2: The Hunt for the Holocron, and the stuff on Mandalore. Season 3: The capture of Chairman Papanoya's daughters, the stuff on Mandalore again, the Hunt for Ziro, the Battle of Devaron, Ventress's attempt to kill Dooku, and the fight against the Trandoshans. Season 4: The Battle of Mon Cala, The Gungans capturing Grevious(on second thought I think it's better we skip that one), the Battle where Grevious captured Adi Gailia and then Plo Koon showed up to save her and by extension R2 and C-3PO, the Battle of Dathomir, Ventress first Bounty Hunter Mission, Maul and Savage's Duel with Obi-Wan and Ventress. Season 5: The Battle of Flourium, Grevious attack on Obi-Wan's fleet, the Youngling's mission to save Ahsoka, D Squad Mission, the Take Over of Mandalore, and Ahsoka's Trail. Season 6: The Battle of Ringo Vinda, the discovery that Dooku is Tyranus, and Yoda's quest. Season 7: The Siege of Mandalore. I have watched way to much of Geetsly because I know all this. XD.

I don't think I've ever seen the Clone Army win any battle clean without some sort of ridiculous plot device. Admiral Trench had this battle won. You are telling me that the greatest strategic genius the CIS has would willingly gather all his troops in single spot just because a computer told him to? Without questioning it even once? Why isn't the flagship of the entire CIS fleet filled with Droids for security? Why are the hallways always empty? Why didn't the bridge have more guards? Not even a forcefield. The door to the bridge wasn't even locked! What joke!

@initial_kd that's true tho there's a very big difference in the discrepancies. Canon has been abysmal on that front, literally tearing down fan favourite characters and what came before, and that's in multiple mediums, not just film and TV like with the sequels kenobi etc. Then there are retcons, which are worse in Canon due to them discontinuing legends on the grounds of unifying the Canon only for them to create inconsistency. Kenobi legit breaks Canon completely. Also, the argument "its written for kids" is bs. The last airbender is made for kids but it's still brilliantly written. TCW itself is a kids show but respected the audience enough to provide mature, thought-provoking stories. The OT was made for everyone, as said by George himself, and that's the reason it was so successful. That's one of the reasons why the prequels had such backlash cos not only was the writing a step down, but it was no longer written for everyone, it was written for kids. This got better as the films went on but tpm leaned way to much in that direction and alienated the fanbase massively

Like the prequels are flawed but they're still a great addition to star wars and are acc a more interesting era in the galaxy than the OT, at least in imo. OT was a lot more contained, whereas the prequels made star wars truly feel like an acc universe

Multiverse Theory sure is weird when it comes to having the same planet be placed in different galactic locations depending on the universe. Then again, we've seen Earths with radically different geography; just compare our Earth with the Aku-ruled Samurai Jack Earth, for one.

Imma keep it real with you chief, specifically the tactics of the Battle of Anaxes shown in TCW season 7 felt really stupid and infantile. There’s a lot of stupid in that arc if I’m being honest
