Very good video. For not being able to speak spanish, I was amazed at how accurate the information you gave out was. I passed through Cancun in july and I was really shocked by how how expensive the taxis were. I recently took a private taxi from the Oaxaca coast to Mexico City, a distance of about 600 kilometers, for less than 200 dollars. If you are in the countryside, far from the tourist areas, like where I live in Guerrero, basically nobody wears a mask, except when you go to the bank, or in the national store chains. The small mom and pop restaurants and stores generally, with some exception, do not follow the governments guidelines. Many people have gotten sick( I got sick in july, but am now fully recovered). In the small villages, people go on about their business the same as always. In the few tourist areas along the coast, the people who work in tourism have really suffered from the governments absurd overreaction, such as shutting down all transportation, beaches, parks, and many businesses back in april and may, when there were almost no cases here at all. Now, there are alot of cases, and almost everything is open. One taxi driver told me that the taxi union will not allow the government to shut down things again. In the main town here last year I paid about 150 dollars a month for a two floor 7 room house (unfurnished) with a large fenced in property right downtown a block away from the minibuses and taxis that go right to the nearest beach for about 3 dollars each way. Currently I pay 50 dollars a week to a lady friend to make me home made meals twice a day.

I love Acapulco, but not the earthquakes. Merida was too humid for me. Bali had toilet smells in the sewers, and I had to be alert, not to be robbed, but the take out put empty shrimp shells in my order. They tried to climb in my second floor condo in the Hotel Kuta. They were busted by me, before getting in. Korean Air was a racist nightmare to Bali. Karma never loses an address. Take your cheap phone outside, and no purse.

Just because you do not HAVE to quarantine doesn't mean that, ethically, you shouldn't. Mexico is so dependent on tourism that they cannot impose a quarantine. Anyone travelling there and circulating in the community (without taking at least 7 days) is putting locals, who have limited health care options, at risk. Ignoring or exploiting this vulnerability is the ultimate white privilege.
@peaceandlove5443 жыл бұрын
Healthy Digital nomads and many tourist are responsible people too. They were masks, keep their distance, keep themselves healthy while supporting the economy. Without the economy not some will get sick and some will die but we all will die. Many tourists/nomads etc have a covid PCR exam test before they live their countries just in case. Nobody wants to get sick while they are travelling or in another country.
@RKade223 жыл бұрын
Even tho the pcr tests produce 50% false posative or negative results , dust masks dont prevent viruses, and quarantining doesnt work(US states with the strictest rules have the highest cases) by all means follow the government rules cause of course they're making them for your protection...i guess the government started caring about the health of the pple in 2020 smh...keep your scared ass at home..and live healthy take vitamins eat nutritious real food to strengthen your immune system..sanitizing and hiding wont protect you and the experimental vaccine wont either(its already killing pple) get wise study history and quit thinking and reacting out of fear

I am a real state attorney in Northern Baja on the Pacific Coast and yes you can move down here and quarantine here. Mexico's quarantine restrictions are for businesses, churches and institutions for individuals is voluntary except use of masks and keeping social distance indoors everywhere and number of people publically and/or privately gathering (in somes cities and or states which sometime has included restriction on highway movility in certain areas or states). I would recommend to you moving to areas where there are other ex pats, close to the beach where you can go for a walk there, good internet and reasonable and safe place to rent and good private medical access and access to stores and markets. mogm07@gmail.com

Well.. I heard Mexico was scary and I ALWAYS believe what ever people tell me. Even if the information is contradicting. I'll take up both sides in an argument with myself and fight to make sure everyone has the right to be locked up and silenced by anyone of their choosing. One time, I passed out in the street from sleep deprivation because people kept telling me I should try different activities like basketball, roller-skating, eating at Joe's restaurant, kissing a girl, kissing a guy, jumping from a roof (that one kinda hurt), F***ing myself, getting bent, reading the entire works of Robert Jordan, Jet skiing, visiting Mexico, not visiting Mexico, finding Jesus( you'll never guess where he was!), World domination, world peace, putting it all back the way it was..... the rest gets kinda fuzzy, I have holes in my memory at that point..
