@Raja995mh333 жыл бұрын
@SuperSydneyPerson 1 But overall nothing has changed. Apple may has released slightly more devices in the last years but they also stopped selling older iPhone models. Previously, when the iPhone 6S was released for example, Apple sold the 6S, 6S Plus, 6, 6 Plus, 5S and 5C at the same time which makes it a total of 6 devices even back then. Today we have the iPhone 12 models, SE, XR and 11. So only 1 device more overall but MUCH more variety. Apple has a bigger catalog of different form factors, sizes and designs with 7 models than Samsung with all their 30+ devices

I like that there are so many phones, it kind of killed the trend of having the newest iPhone. So once everyone got confused about iPhones and there were multiple kinds, people stop having an eye for the newest. The confusion also made people more conscious about the phone. Instead of buying the shiniest model, people had to to think about what they needed. And after that, a good amount of people realized that they didn’t need an upgrade every year or even every 2 years. I’m not saying that sales declined but it really helped Apple convince people to focus more on tech than trend

I also believe another reason Apple released this many phones at the different price points is so they can shift their focus to services/subscriptions instead of hardware. People seem to keep their phones a little longer now, as there are many options now. Once Apple can get a customer into their walled garden they can keep them there by offering services that generate recurring revenue instead of relying primarily on new smartphone purchases.

If you can only afford a cheap-ish phone the minis are perfect if you want a maxed-out phone the pro maxes are great! I'm sure people definitely overcomplicate which one they should buy. If you don't know which one to buy just watch a "Which iPhone should I buy?" video on youtube. It's really not that hard. People need to realize that Apple is a lot simpler compared to Samsung, there are so many models I'd be confused about what to buy but with Apple, you buy the phone you can afford or the phone you like the best. They're all pretty much the same so it's not that big of a deal... I mean Samsung has phones that flip, phones to take notes, and phones that can zoom in MUCH MORE than needed so if you want a brand that's easy to navigate Apple is great for you!

It's so funny, after all that trend of phones getting bigger and bigger, I feel like I am left with no other choice than to buy a iPhone mini, because I want to go back to one-hand-usable. And I am very thankful that at least someone offers some phone like that 🙏

I am a chronic Galaxy Note user so when I eventually bought my first iPhone I went for the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Smaller iPhones could never suit me. Nowadays I carry both a Galaxy Note and an iPhone Pro Max.

I still like Apples simple strategy with Smartphone releases. 4 models, 3 sizes, all released at one point in the year. Not 20+ models with all the same size released every other year. The biggest joke even is that the entire iPhone catalog from the SE, XR, 11 and the new iPhone 12 models give users WAY more options for designs and sizes than the ENTIRE Android markets combined. Apple gives you 7 models, 5 different sizes and 3 different designs. Now compared to Android: literally 1000+ devices, all between 6.3 and 6.8" with about the same devices size, mostly the same "bezelless" design, ignoring all people that don't want notches, bezelless and gigantic phones.
@megawonszrzeczny93 жыл бұрын
Android has a much wider range of design than iPhone. Some Android phones have huge bezels, while some almost don't have them. There are some phones with smaller screens, but as most users don't want that, that's just a small category of Android. Considering that and the giant notch on any iPhone, and that they all look almost the same, your comment seems nonsensical to me. That said, I'm not interested in iPhone that much, and you don't seem interested in Android that much, so I'll just agree to disagree
@Raja995mh333 жыл бұрын
@@megawonszrzeczny9 Sorry dude but here and there some minor changes like smaller bezels are NOT "wide range of designs". When iPhones are always blamed for "looking the same for four years" than the small differences that get ignored on iPhones, they're are also ignored on Android phones. Stop this hypocrisy bs and double standards. Most Android phones in fact DO look the same - especially from the front. And even stuff like camera bumps look closer and closer on Android. It's ridiculous to say that Android has a wide range of designs. They just in fact don't. And they have even less options when it comes to sizes, which was my main point dude. At least 95% of Android phones are literally the same size or bigger than the iPhone 13 Pro Max. There's literally not a single Android phone that even has the same size as the normal iPhone 12/13 - let alone the mini.

@@Raja995mh33 'androids look the same especially from the front' if all Androids look the same then iphones are literally the same phones with different names and higher prices lmfao
@Raja995mh332 жыл бұрын
@@raghavthakur1760 dude at least TRY being realistic 😂 Apple is in FACT the only manufacturer that hasn't increased the pricing in literally 5 years. "Higher prices" only goes for Android phones and not iPhones. And iPhones are also not "the same phone" unlike most Android phones that come out through the year. There are basically no differences between Android phones in the same price range that come out in the same year.

If people wanted a bigger display they could’ve gotten an iPad starting in 2010 or if that’s too big an iPad Mini starting in 2012. I actually like the small display so that’s why I currently have an iPod Touch 7th Generation.

@aritradey83343 жыл бұрын
The mini was launched at the wrong time. People who wanted a smaller iPhone already went with the iPhone SE 2020. And the sales were bad in the eyes of Apple, otherwise the mini made it to the top 10 best selling smartphones of 2020-2021 list.
