Are adventure maps dead? no Are good adventure maps harder to find? yes Here's some suggestions: Worlds collids (dungeon based adventure maps that cleverly uses the stuff you get from one dungeon to proceed to a further one) Antitheist (fps style map with fully original soundtrack made for the map. Not to be confused with the religion thing)

I felt the same way as you do so I made an adventure map and tried to go for "perfection". This looks like I am advertising It, which in a sense I do, but you can see the trailer of It if you want, it's in the channel of that I am replying you. Not the best trailer in the world but I tried.

If anyone wants a new adventure map, try Drehmal: Primordial! It's one of the most successful maps from the past few years, and it's absolutely incredible. It's practically its own game, and I'd argue it's the best Minecraft map ever made. :)

I think this also has to do with KZbin preferring faster paced videos. With adventure maps you can't really make fast edits or transitions.

Especially given the current tech for them to create maps using mods or the advanced commands nowadays. And the whole multiplayer thing isnt a problem anymore with the essential mod. All just came to late

I remember trying to make my own maps, but due to me being like 9, I didn't know jack shit about command blocks. I'm looking back on those memories now. Thank you.

i wish modern minecraft maps had more puzzles, and also the listing working so when i look at the puzzle category it doesnt mean parkour with extra steps but ACTUAL PUZZLES, also most minecraft maps now are either deco, survival, pvp and parkour i wish there were more puzzle maps but theyre either parkour or overcomplicated and buggy due to lack of testers, also redstone maps, the last one i found was pretty bad by becoming the equivalent of find the button but you then need to place some redstone in a designated way, (chests were hidden around a fenced off area outside and you come inside to place redstone) the only good one of these ive found is a very old map from a video that i dont remember the name of also the last "puzzle map" i played with a friend was of course.. parkour though we didnt care at that point and continued, at some point the map teleports you into a maze but the maze has SO MANY actively moving parts of it that its more of a lag machine that instantly caused whoever entered to crash another puzzle map i player with that friend had a sheep puzzle where you had to get all the colors of wool and put them into chests, though at a point we got lost and didnt understand what we were supposed to do next, here comes the buggy part beacause one player had access to specific areas and the other to other areas, but one area broke or something beacause neither of us could enter while seemingly for no reason another puzzle map, we left cos it was a minecraft version of wave defense but you cant upgrade your stuff and its laggy as playing on a potato

may i suggest Confusing Cubes 1,2, and 3 (all updated for 1.19),Nameless Temple, and The Terrace just to name a few. yes there are more but these are the few i can think of. most of them are single player tho but have actual puzzles.

Fresh stylish puzzles, like the ones on "The Tourist", because most puzzle maps today are putting in stale cubes and are too difficult, driving you to lose interest.

I was recently informed that the 4th map in the series "Outbreak" which had its first map created in 2012 and rebooted to a series about a year or two ago, was abandoned due to this decline. I find it very disappointing that maps like it are becoming less common because they're are so many really good maps and I wish there could be more.

I released my map The Wall 2 - The Missing Villagers, back in early 2016. It was an adventure/parkour map, and it took almost a whole year to create. Back then there were still people making maps. Especially parkour maps were very popular at the time. But after 2016 people basically stopped making maps. Pretty sad :(. I wonder if some map makers went on to making actual games using game engines like Unity, Unreal, or Godot instead. I remember feeling quite limited when I made my maps. And though a lot has been added to Minecraft since, it can't compare to using actual game engines.

I started playing minecraft when 1.5.2 was released and after all those years the 1.8 map asleep is (in my opinion) one of the best adventure maps

my brain 404ed as if you looked on mine craft maps adventure maps are still very very common. also you only talked about 6 adventure maps ( 5 if you don't count tutorial) out of 12 total.survival island, sky block and sky grid are just survival not adventure. sea of flames is ctm witch is mainly survival with a bit of adventure sprinkled in. the walls and super craft brawl is pvp. just cause servers are becoming more popular doesn't mean that maps are on the downfall. the only full adventure maps that can be considered is tutorial, jerry's adventure(maby as i have not herd of it), its better together, dropper, and herobrines mansion. if you want to include ctm then you can include sea of flames witch is one i included for the sake of it. if you do wish to find adventure maps you can look under puzzle or adventure tabs in minecraftmaps

The undiscussed problem this guy is not saying is the fact that adventure maps because super CGI like such as movies and failed to capture that wow this is impressive charm. Crap like the code a map that CaptainSparklez played is a good example! It doesn't matter they exist now because the soul is dead thanks to all the new tools. They are dead and it's sad. At least Herobrine's Mansion wasn't super CGI like even if it was different it was still close to vanilla. Fyi most adventure maps are on bedrock which blows as you have to pay. Overall MC adventure maps fell off much like the game itself.
