Just got back from München, and, of course, we had Spargel! (We also picked Erdbeeren at the spot you guys did.) I grew up in Giesing / Fasangarten, and it was my first trip back in 31 years (far too long I know). Miss it already.

The Museum sounds fun. Strange what strange museums are out there. Sorry to disapoint you, I am Bavarian but I really don't like Spargel and never could understand why people were so fascinated by it. If you like open air museums ( Freilichtmuseum) you must come to Nabburg . The town itself is a Medieval jewel, then close by they have an ancient farm you van visit and a bit further on there is a massive Freilichtmuseum you might enjoy.

Lol you are the first Bavarian who doesn't like White Spargel we have met. We love open air museums, and will check it out!

I got nervous towards the end. Thought you were going to say "this is kicking off our summer of spargel..."

Wait, so you wouldn’t want 8 more spargel videos??🥺

Awesome video, I just got back from doing a tour of Southern Germany and you're videos were super helpful. They love their spargel (and honestly so do I). Any idea why they have man-made stork nests? I know they are a symbol of the nearby French Alsace region

Man made stork nests: well, storks like to build on the chimneys thus clogging them up. You can see the chimney being protected from stork nests at 3:57 on the right side while on the left side there's a "man made" one. btw, storks are a symbol not only in nearby France.

I definitely will visit Schrobenhausen - because I‘m a local lol! I get my shopping there regularly, as I live in the nearby countryside. Gutted that we missed each other, I‘d have picked you up and you could have said I‘m an über Uber. I even could have shown you my own personal Spargel, which sounds different to how I mean it. I have just realised this entire comment looks like I‘m stalking you.

Hahahaah. Now the comment in the video “I’ve never met anyone from Schrobenhausen” is a lie. Can’t wait to eventually meet up 😅

So happy I found your channel. I'm coming to Munich in July and I hope to do some of these local day trips. Could you have used the 9 euro train ticket for this trip? Cheers!
@peter_meyer
@peter_meyer 2 жыл бұрын
I'm not 100% sure, but my bet is, this would have been possible with the 9 euro ticket.
@NearFromHome

Yes! Definitely :) as long as you avoid the fast IC and ICE trains and stick to the more regional RB and RE then you can definitely do this and almost every single one of our train trips.

Why Bayern ticket? Take the 9 € ticket.

Yeah…if I were going now I would. However, this was filmed two months ago before the trees had regained their leaves :)
