I think one thing to note for a laptop like this is battery life. That celeron performing like a 3rd gen i5 for office work is fine. But since it’s such a low wattage part if there is a half decent 45Whr battery in there, this thing can run for like 12 hours.

i picked this is up solely for the color and installed Manjaro on it and it runs 10x faster The laptop is great for web browsing, office, casual gaming and other non heavy tasks although the battery is still very mediocre

It doesn't say "gaming" anywhere on the laptop. Idk why u thought it was a "gaming" laptop to begin with. It's an office laptop, and it's ok, for 400$. I got myself an AMD with the 5300U as a backup for work, if my desktop is on the fritz, and I need to work from it. It was 300$, and it has really strong backlit keyboard, and even though it's just FHD, it's enough for a laptop. QHD seems snobby on a 15-17" display. Laptops with Intel are way overpriced compared to AMD's.

The recovery partition is always there on every PC, if you use Disk Management you will see it. Depending on how the OEM images the drive they forget to remove that drive letter. You can remove the windows drove letter yourself using Disk Management, and the partition will still work as needed.

If you have oily skin (as I do) a kb cover allows you to use it the kb without wearing off the key markings. That being said this really looks like a generic consumer brand sub-$400 laptop, so I think the kb cover wouldn't matter as I don't imagine this would last a year

I could live with this laptop as a business/school laptop given its 1440p ips screen is basically non existent on budget gaming laptops (I have a 3070/5800h laptop with 1080p 144hz ips, great for native fhd gaming which enables lossless 144hz for a 3070. Preferable to a native 1440p screen in a gaming laptop with the 1080p having whole down scaling from 1440p using ai stuff providing good quality instead of fps when needed imo). Actually, if I needed this for office work/gotten it for free from company or school, I would still use this for watching netflix, youtube etc instead of my own laptop. Because unlike games, you will never get similar quality to a native recording of videos. I do have a desktop with 6700xt and 1440p monitor too so I can say the down scaled 1440p on a smaller and more pixel dense 17" 1080p gaming laptop feels very similar to it in games (only).

No joke, but iv been looking this SAME EXACT laptop for the past 3 months now, to buy for my little sister! The reason I haven't bought it for her is because no one had ever covered this laptop and this "Rumtuk" company. SO I was a bit reluctant to get it for her, in case it would just break down in just a few months time. Kinda glad I didn't now since, even though she is only in elementary, I now realized that this was indeed shitty af, and she deserves something way better this Chinese junk, lmao. (Btw, the reason why I was looking at this in the first place, is because she wanted a slim laptop with a really large screen, RGB backlit keyboard. And since this fitted both of these, WITH a free keyboard cover and wireless mouse. I thought this would likely be a great fit for her! But now I regret looking at it...)

I doubt don’t sees point in that. Just buy a used laptop from Best Buy. I just got a XPS Plus 13 normally $2,000 for $550. Its a 12th gen Intel 1260p,16gb ram,512ssd, unibody aluminum,800nit touch screen, 12 hour battery all the bells and whistles. I guess if you’re just looking at the bottom line then sure it’s like $200 more but you’re getting 10x or more computer (literally) for barely any more money. Just because it’s “cheaper” doesn’t mean it’s a good deal.

​@@Tiralful Yup, slightly used tech is such good value. $475 for an Asus Vivobook S 14X OLED 14.5” 2.8K 16:10 120Hz Display, AMD Ryzen 7 6800H CPU, 16GB DDR5 RAM, 1TB SSD and metal body. No dgpu but it's mind-blowing how well the 680m igpu handles gaming Although I personally dislike XPSs, they throttle out of the box but make for great daily drivers for the average user

You install your os and programs on drive c, you put your essential data on drive d. If there comes a need to reinstall your os you don't have to recover said files as it's kept outside the OS drive. The idea seems pretty basic to me. Surprising you guys were baffled by it.

What could hurt that laptop is that memory. If its using a 4GB and a 8GB could do it. Even if its at the same speed. Also if the hard drive is a sata ssd. Yes ssd is faster then a mechanical hard drive still there will be loss there. Not to be said about the processor. But still the processor is holding it's own and video card is sharing its memory from the cpu memory which again will be some FPS loss. Edit: From what i'm seeing there is 12GB of memory. is a odd ball amount of memory. Got me curious about if it's solder onboard memory or just throwin in there.

I have a Lenovo 100e Chromebook Gen 2 with a 4th Gen Celeron and got windows 10N on it and the performance is literally the same as this laptop 😂 (ps don’t get windows on your Chromebook unless you have 64GB+ cos mine has “32” (which is actually 29) and it has no storage for anything after getting drivers for it)

The green versus blue color MAY be because those are the same color in many Asian countries. For example, blue and green are the same in Japan, so the "green" traffic lights often have a very blue hue to them. If the laptop seller is from China, they may be from a culture where the colors are just the same so the product description is not wrong to them, in that respect.

I've paid that amount of money for a 17" Lenovo P70 3 times. And they have discrete mode (or optimus) Maxwell GPUs, with 6th gen quad cores and 4 Ram slots. Also if you feel like an adventure I put a Quadro M3000 ($50) or M4000 in them. Bringing them up to 750ti or better levels of performance.
