Wow that is awesome 👍🏻 I can imagine how they feel. I know we just had a furnace put in almost a year ago and , ouch. We are going to need a new air unit too of course. You are more than welcome to come here and put one in 😂 Nice video. I always enjoy watching them. I've said it before but it is worth repeating , I wish you were around us because , you would be doing all of our work. You're so honest and trustworthy.

lol we had to do our whole house AC and furnace including new ducts. Paying 45k for all of it. We are like 1/4th done and haven’t been able to get in contact with the contractor for months. Won’t return calls, emails etc. a free hvac system would be he a huge blessing.

To the people complaining why he didn’t give it to someone who really really need it. First of all its his equipment and time so why tf are you complaining, if you wanna help someone struggling do it on your dime. Second of all, lower in come home would have been probably a-lot more work due to zero preventative maintenance. These homeowners set up was pretty straightforward and a simple swamp. As much as he might have wanted to help someone in need these homeowners were willing to pay and good choice for him to helping them out.

You give away a free system, provide free labor, and provide ancillary materials for free as well, yet people leave negative comments about you giving it to someone they perceive as being rich, unworthy of the gift, or nitpick how things are done in your area. Unreal. I swear you can't win on KZbin in the comments section. Some people are straight douches. Pretty cool that you have gotten your channel into a position where you can truly make a positive impact on people's lives. Good on you man. Thanks for the video and stay safe out there.

The worst you can do as a DIY. Is make a mistake. Nothing wrong with making mistakes, you learn from them. Even if you had to buy a whole new furnace and air conditioner because you made a mistake, you're STILL likely going to save money compared to hiring a professional. And it's rare that you'll make a mistake that big. So don't worry. Just start.

Watched many of these videos now and still tear up every time. Great job and ty on so many angles. I barely have been able to do my charity work after a tornado in my old stomping grounds. So I did something. But never enough in my opinion. And I believe your prob doing the labor for free but being paid by people like me. KZbin gets ad money. And Blueridge is getting an awesome ad of just being awesome. Awesome colab and awesome teaching throughout.

I want to know why companies are wanting 15,000 for a system. The average basic system should not be costing people $15000. The Key word is basic. Now for a waste of money 20 seer system, I could see costing $15000. Or if the price included duct replacement for the basic system. 25 yr. FL ac conractor here and there's a lot of us around here and I can't imagine what companies are doing in areas where they're few and in between. We are all being ripped off for every thing. I say by bunches of middle man companies. And by companies with multple partners and companies selling work and paying another company to do the work. Lots of double dips happening everywhere under people's noses and blantenly in their face, because they're all doing it. I wish you all good luck being a consumer.

Here in California, average cost of replacing A/C system is 12K (mobile home, San Jose) to 20K (1980's home w/ R22 in Stockton). I've saved $ on many residents/store owners by recharging refrigerant or replacing a condenser fan. A/C repair has become a sales department now.

I agree with the homeowners that they probably don't want a free installation or equipment. It would probably be better served if you found a residence in a lower income neighborhood with a really crappy system visible from outside and offered to redo their system for free.

why are people taking out loans for new HVAC systems? Because a new inside unit, outside unit, and all the duct work for an average 2000 square foot house is between $10K and $15K and most people can't just write a $15K check.

I’m truly disappointed that you did not replace the line set you are going from a R22 refrigerant to a R410A I’ve done many swaps where line sets have not been removed and a 410 unit was in place and over time a leak will appear. New gas = new lines and I can also see you brazed no nitrogen 😭 and you didn’t do a nitro test at 500 psi to check leaks

Sorry but you are bit disingenuous with the freebie-reveal. You're not handing over a free HVAC system without a cost. You are doing it in exchange for the right to broadcast the install and the reveal on your profitable KZbin entertainment/education business. You require them to be on camera and they allow you to film in their home. It's a fair deal, perhaps a ripping great deal for for the home owners for sure but it's not exactly something for nothing. I've done similar contract work (not HVAC) for no profit just to help get exposure, photographs and testimonials on a company I used to own. Keep up the good work! I've learned a lot on here.

I love how this page constantly misinforms homeowners, with Boogeyman scare tactics, and teaches them to perform repairs that they end up doing more harm than good with. The reason HVAC is expensive, is because we are bound by EPA regulations, equipment price hikes from the manufacturer due to said regulations, and having to run a business and this dying economy with record inflation. I'm all for an individual's right to repair, but I can't tell you how many homeowner installs and repairs I've had to fix, that ended up costing more, due to pages like this making every company to be a villain because people can't afford to pay professionals. If the economy is tough for citizens, most businesses are going to be hit pretty hard too.
