Did a Kamigawa draft on Arena the other day and got Explosive Singularity. I will say that of the 2 games I won, it was the killing blow, but only because I had 7-8 mana up and creatures that couldn't get through my opponent's blockers. It's situational at best and that's the only format it's gonna see play in

Personally for an effect like this I like dropping The Reality Chip followed by an As Foretold. It's no Omniscience but it's only 3 mana to get out and it'll scale to let you cast bigger and bigger spells (on EVERYONE's turns if they're instants OR you have a flash enabler). If you're running a lot of proliferate effects the ceiling on this gets huge quick (Inexorable Tide is particularly hilarious with this. Cast a spell, proliferate the counter on As Foretold, then next turn cast a bigger spell, etc).

Know what makes a better Explosive Singularity? Furystoke Giant... from Shadowmoor. Half the cost to get out, gives you a body, and gives ALL your creatures (including the giant if you have a haste enabler) the ability to tap and shock any creature or player so it scales even better if you do happen to have a lot of creatures. AND it has persist so you can just sac it later (to, say, a Goblin Bombardment) and do it AGAIN.

Explosive Singularity works well with Hidetsugu and Kairi. maybe not best in commander but in other formats- who knows? :)

I generally build pretty low budget decks, so I've used nearly every card on this list in some form and it breaks my heart just a little hearing them get ragged on. There's no defending One With The Multiverse, though. That actually was a time I cracked it and was disappointed. Like you guys said, it isn't even "Omniscience at home". So...when Mythic was first introduced, I recall WotC saying that it was reserved for big splashy effects and Legends, as well as goofy top-down designs. And, in the beginning, that's what it was: we had things like Child of Alara, Progenitus, Mayael's Aria, and essentially every Planeswalker. If you compare to Mythics now, you still see a lot of those splashy effects, like the Praetors, Gods, ancient dragons and the Meld Legends. Why there's so much chaff now is beyond me: part of me wants to say power creep, but there are a lot of offenders that are worse than more common cards printed in the same year, like In The Trenches being an anthem with a weird one time, overcosted ORing effect stapled on.

Wouldn't Creeping Inn's effect get stronger each use because it lacks the "This turn" clause at the end? So first sac causes 1, second sac is 2, third sac is three, so on and so forth. That could make it a little better. Still not mythic but high end rare.

explosive singularity would be ideal, if you can cheated in for the two red at the tail end of your game. but, only if you can chain it with other red spells that do something similar. it could be a possible win condition? but why would you do that, when there is acidic soil. I would take acidic soil over this card any day of the week.

The land that turns into a 3/7 creature works in token sacrifice decks. At least to get it flipped. You are right about the downside when it becomes a creature because you’re losing creatures out of your graveyard.

Honestly In The Trenches is garbage..IF you play it late game. Play it early to get advantage of that +1/+1 effect, and then if later on your opponent just cast a big or threatening creature late game THEN pop off that Exile. It's just a Prison Realm or Citizens Arrest with a buff to creatures. But that don't mean it's not useful. I'll die on that hill istg.
