Does it work after using bilt hamber clay bar using water as a lubricant? I have just watched your video on the dangers of claying with out lube. Could you post an up to date review on decontamination of paint work and clarify the use of bilt hamber auto clay both with water, with lube, old clay etc . As you showed in your video using the microscope. I would love to see the results and comparisons both bare and after using a spray sealant/ wax , is it ok to use bilt hamber auto clay bar just using water as a lube?

Pretty much. If you dont have a 30k+ car I'd just buy whatever is cheapest from a semi-reputable brand (turtle, meguiars, mothers, etc). The issue is when you have a nice car and want LONGEVITY. I can wax with butter and make it look nice for an hour, but which products truly last months or years? That's why people buy premium stuff, they hope for longevity.

Great video mate. Beading is ok i guess, but all beads do is collect dust from the air and when they dry up you are left with water marks. Sheeting is what i am after With sheeting there is no water to collect dust so that means no water marks.

I’ve used it today on the Mrs Adam on the back of a video from Pan. It has a different name in USA/Canada but is the same product. He compared it with Meguiars and Mothers Hybrid spray detainers. It absolutely blew them away in resistance to detergents. Pretty much confirmed by you as well. I personally generally use Autobrite Direct Project64 which amazing for slickness and gloss, although not measured it makes both my car and the partners look really glossy. Both are white cars which we all know are hard to give a really deep gloss to. I’ve got to say that I’m impressed with the Turtle Wax product, I paid £10 on amazon delivered to the door and for a first application it’s really easy to use, I have done a paint correction to the car and also treated it to Polar Blast 2 months ago. I’m going to see how the product over the next couple of month without any other treatment during maintenance washes, she only does about 600 miles per month so it’s not put under much stress. I use Autobrite Magifoam and Autobrite Purple Velvet shampoo. I’m keen to see how this performs. Great video confirming what Pan had said. Keep up the great work as always dude 👌

After trying both a few times, I think this product is way better than their Ceramic Spray product - it’s much easier to buff off, whereas the Ceramic needs heavy work and causes a lot of streaking, even with properly prepping with an IPA wipe down.

Jon, I can tell you now, based on about 5-6 months of close observation on my wife's Chevy traverse, the SiO2 spray sealants keep the car cleaner longer and makes washing a breeze. Nothing sticks. Nothing. Not even bird droppings. I used 303's touchless spray sealant. I am amazed at how much less I have to wash it and how shinny it remains despite harsh New England weather. I didn't even properly prep the paint since I was doing it as a rough test but it worked out so well I haven't had to really do anything but wash it since.

I've come to the conclusion that sheeting is much better than beading. Beading looks great, but when it dries it leaves horrible water marks in the London/hard water area. The beads imo act like a magnifying glass in the sun and has a more detrimental effect on the paintwork. So this TW product looks like something i'd be interested in

So, I gave this stuff a go... Found it a doddle to apply, although it seems to become a real pain to buff off if given too long to bond - I'm talking more than a minute. Once on, it does look nice, and the paint does feel slick. However, the impressive stuff came today, a week after applying..... I did my usual wash routine, but before my final rinse I gave the car a good soaking in this stuff. Then I pressure washed it all off. The beading was superb, the gloss levels high and the paint felt like glass. I suspect my initial coating had been "patchy" on a microscopic level. The second layer of it filled in the gaps. And at a tenner a litre... Its silly not to!

Can you use this on a car that you have just polished? Would it add an extra layer of protection?

Not used that product but I used a similar eagle wax product that was fantastic. Still had noticeable beading properties after 6 months.

This stuff is great in the US with ice spray wax as a topper

I ignored this vid and assumed the product was going to be rubbish from the title and the video still. Now my friend has pointed out the error of my ways! Maybe you can retitle it by adding "It's great" to then end? :) Love the channel, but you've cost us hundreds now in becoming obsessed with detailing ;)
