This anime made me feel like I was still in my childhood enjoying a cartoon on the tv, giving me that nostalgic feeling, especially when I heard for the first time the second opening. Carson I think you've already heard it during a live stream while you were playing COD, the image for the song was a strawberry with a sword carved in the middle. Really excited to see you guys react to this show!

Kage's voice actor is the same as Hinata from Haikyuu! The anime studio has done a great job with wit studios! After finishing AOT production, wit was in a difficult financial situation, but Boggi saved them🥹 I'm looking forward to your reactions! I use a translator, sorry!

I'm sorry. Please allow me to add and correct the comments above. I saw an interview with a wit studio producer, and I saw an article saying that 2018, 19 and 20 were tough financially for the studio. (Especially after the production of "The Ancient Magus' Bride") So it was tough after AOT, but I think it was also tight during the production of AoT Season 3. I'm sorry for giving a careless opinion because the clear timing is not clear.

You guys are in for an absolutely amazing ride. Ranking Kings was my anime of the year for 2021. Wit Studio animated the hell out this project. Even the little things are absurdly well animated. The story itself has so many amazing moments, can't wait for you guys' reactions.

Honestly i love it when anime have a different art. Literally one of the reason why i'm close to not watching anime anymore is because of the generic plots and same character designs. I guess i pretty much got tired of anime after watching 1000+ animes in 15 years.

I LOVE THIS SERIES, BUT... I won´t say anything until the end(?) So happy that you finally watch Ousama Ranking, it was one of my favorite shows at the end of 2021 and beginning of 2022. The only sad thing is that you are reacting to this series long after its stellar moment, but better late than never. I know there will be good discussions about the plot twists and character developments. There are characters that you will love, then hate, then love and hate, and that will so funny to watch. It´s another banger series that I will continue on your channel, so keep it up!

The author hasn’t clarified about it though, people think that the name Bojji is from “bocchi” (hitoribocchi, it means “lonely”). Also, it probably comes from “Daidara-bocchi” that is a titan of myth in Japan. And also “Daida” came from this and also from the word “代打(daida)” means “replacement” or “pinch-hitter”.

We did enjoy it for the most part, but for what it could have been, and judging the second half against the first 2 eps, disappointing is the best word to describe it in our opinion But there is a lot to love and we’re glad we watched it. Honestly this what anime needs now, unique styles of animation. For years anime have pretty much have the same generic art style. Unfortunately, unique style of animation is most of the time rejected in japanese animation studios because they don't want to risk releasing new art styles and ideas because they might lose money if people didn't like it.

From what I understand, Bojji is still pronouncing Japanese words here. Speaking from my own experience: the few vocal deaf people that I've interacted with often mispronounced words terribly, and it's likely because they're mimicking lip movements and lack the context of sound to understand how words should be pronounced. Imo, Kage just appears to be hyper-literate and is able to pick up on what Bojji means to say.
